I don't have my own sports bike yet (riding around on an old Yamaha Majesty 250), but last week I rented out a Ninja 400 for a day, just to experience it once.
    Just wow.
Of course, my lack of experience with other bikes might cause bias, but it is such a great bike to ride. Nimble, easy to control, can go fast if you want to, but also really easy and comfortable to leisurely ride around town or in heavy traffic. The engine sounds really nice. I only noticed some pain in my wrist and lower back/butt after a few hours of non-stop riding, probably the seat could be a bit softer and I need to get used to the riding position with my upper body resting on my wrists.
Even went on a route with some sharp turns at a mountainous coastline. Despite never having done that and knowing countless videos of people low-siding in a turn or hitting the outer barrier/ditch (target fixation or too fast), it felt super easy after the first turn. Like natural. Just like riding a bicycle. At no point did I feel afraid or overwhelmed or out of control.
The transmission is smooth as silk and even clean downshifts with blipping the throttle went as easy as if I have always done that. Since I can hardly call myself anything other than still a beginner, my conclusion was that anyone could ride this bike. It's that easy.
I already wanted to buy a ninja before I ever sat on one (kind of my childhood dream bike), but now I want it even more. The year has just started, and the day with this bike has already been the best day of it. Unless I can buy my own this year. Then I'll have a second honeymoon.

@@okinawagaijin9344 I agree with all the points you made! This is my first bike and I’ve had no issues with it in terms of control - clutch is smooth and I have good amount of power for riding in Tokyo, but also no problems reaching 120kmph on the highway when I need to!
Honestly a great beginner bike for me, learnt how to corner properly with it too. Couldn’t have asked for more 😌

@@pp.ninja400 "couldn't have asked for more" . . . well, there's always the ZX-4R(R). The shop I rented the 400 from quickly showed me the ZX and meant that if I didn't have any issues with the 400 and felt like I always have ridden bikes, I might give that one a go.
Then he turned on the engine and holy moly, the engine growl sounded a lot more bassy and wild than UA-cam videos suggest. Way deeper and more powerful than the 400, both completely stock.
      I just think I won't get a ZX4RR myself for 3 reasons:
      1) I only see new ones in my area for 1,200,000 yen, no used ones. I get a used 400 in really good condition for 600,000 or a new one for 720,000 yen
      2) Insurance will likely be more expensive too, since it's more of a rider-killer than the base 400
      3) even if I had 10000 bhp, I could never use it here in Japan. So the extra power from the bike would be unused.
So for me, the 400 will be perfect. Maybe your reasoning was the same :D

I really like your channel. Thanks for the videos. I just bought a Ninja 400, it arrives in February. I can't wait to ride my motorcycle through the mountains in the Kanto area.

@@pp.ninja400 Honestly, I was thinking about getting a Suzuki V-Strom while taking my motorcycle course at Koyama Futako, but I started watching videos about Kawasaki Ninja, and it was your videos that convinced me to go for the Ninja 400cc! I hope to see you on the road someday.
Keep up the great work with the channel, it's awesome!
