Marcello came to Leeds United after researching the club and the city. He was attracted to the a club with a passionate fan base. He took us back to what football should be. A game for the working man to enjoy at the weekend. He believed in entertaining. He never spoke about a referee. He told his team to let Villa score at Elland Road. We all had total respect for him. Klopp is similar. Farke is totally different and just can't be compared to a man like Marcello. We would unbelievably lucky to have Bielsa. There will never be another as there will never another Klopp for Liverpool fans

even if slott surpasses klopps success, because klopp gave liverpool their pride back. i know there'll never be another bielsa for leeds, or a klopp for liverpool, partly because of who they are but also partly because of WHEN they came in, when the clubs were in a desperate state. farke and slott have come in when fans have experienced some recent success. it's harder as fans expect more.

The difference between Farke and Bielsa for me is that i believe Farke makes decisions for himself and his reputation while Bielsa did what he thought was required, regardless of how it made him look. We don’t have that affection for Farke because of Bielsa. It wasn’t just his coaching, it was his philosophy on football & life.
I like Farke and his style which is just like many other of the current European Coaches. Controlled possession.
We are top of the league and would be ahead further if not for individual errors rather than our style of play.

Pretty much spot-on. To his credit he's done well in past summer transfer windows, not so much in winter ones. Doesn't need to do much in what's left of this one. Just grow a pair, sell/drop Meslier, sell Bamford & buy a decent CF. Net outlay would be minimal. I don't hate DF. In fact he isn't a bad coach, just not proactive OR in the same class tactically as most Prem. managers. I'm backing him to take us up but after that, upgrade time.

Bielsa effect is defo a thing and will be for a very long time, and agree it's because he changed the culture, he came at the right time and not exactly hard to better coaches who came before him. Farke as you say comes shortly after Bielsa and doesn't make the same connection. Bielsa gave us our pride back, now we have it back, we expect to keep it. I trust Farke to do the job this season. Eyup Conor mate, interesting talking points, again I'm broadly with you on these points. In fact I don't feel the need to elaborate or expand, just a small grammatical point which is in no way a personal criticism: you might want to get your fects right (upload title - affect / effect).
The one margin note I'll forward in terms of content is the subsidiary issue of the division being weaker than last season. I don't think it necessarily is weaker. I see more teams realistically contending promotion this year, which in a way makes the field stronger. The challenge is the same for all clubs, anyway, and the remit for Leeds remains the same.
Testament to Daniel Farke that he's got us top of the pile and I wouldn't want to undermine or derail what he's achieved so far. I don't think it's worth risking a pit stop to replace a capable driver.

I saw a Norwich fan on Twitter mention how different Farkes’ playing style is now compared to his time at Norwich in the Championship…(less entertaining) I wonder why? Is it a result of his poor time in the Prem, or his time in the Bundesliga? Is it because there’s more pressure at Leeds? Who knows.. The difference being that Barcelona had such good players, you knew what was coming but couldn't do anything about it. Bielsa had average players who he maxed out. We got tanked by teams who expected to beat us but rarely lost to teams in and around us. He went to the board ( confirmed by Angus kinear) and asked for new players because he had taken the team as far as he could. When you look at his bench the game before he was sacked. It was kids. People are way off in the comments here. We literally have the most goals and are top of the league. How can we possibly be boring. Want to know what’s boring? Teams that sit 11 men in their box to try and keep us out which happens in 85-90% of the games. Look at how Ipswich played against us, and that is a Farke system in full flow and in full domination. It’s boring because most other teams make it boring.
Bielsa will always be special, and hopefully we are never in a situation where we need someone like him to save us. He gave us hope after nearly two decades out of the Premier League. Before he came we weren’t expecting much, and he gave us everything. Nobody can replicate that because the situation is different.
Farke clearly loves this club and I for one still back him. And I do have an affinity towards him and would like him to do well at PL level if we can get there.
The sheer hate for Farke is almost unbelievable sometimes.
Bielsa spoiled us, and because of that time we have a small but vocal collective of spoilt brat Leeds fans who whinge like a schoolgirl if anything other than a 4-0 victory occurs. Some people need to get a serious grip. We are too expectant. We think all these teams will roll over for us, we FUEL THEIR DESIRE TO BEAT US through our arrogance. Teams sit deep, they play dirty, they play against us in ways they don’t play against most of the other division, and occasionally it has worked. That’s football.
Back the team, back the manager, and see where we are at in May because too many people just before we’ve finished, like the transfer window this summer 😂 “oh the board are shit, 49ers out, and then they bring in Ramazani, Tanaka, Rothwell, Solomon, Bogle. Unbelievable signings for this level.

No Bielsa is only a problem to the hard up fans that think one championship makes you a top manager and then 9th place in premier league. Yes 9th😂😂😂 .Teams sack managers for that but not us we forget all the thrashingsp 😂😂😂. GET OVER HIM HE WAS AND STILL IS A SECOND RATE MANAGER .Why do no top teams ever come in for him try figure it out
