@@keykkitchen did you freeze your cakes overnight before you leveled them and crumb coated them? If so how long did you let your cake thaw out before you crumb coated it?
@@dess2703 Hi there! I didn’t freeze the cakes like that. I just covered them with cling film at room temperature after baking. I only put my cakes in the freezer when they’re already crumb coated, and only for a max of 20 minutes.
@@keykkitchen oh did you cover them with the saran wrap immediately after th cakes were out of the oven or did u let it cool down first then you covered it? If so how long should we let the cake cook before wrapping it? And did you leave the cake covered in the saran wrap for 24 hours at room temperature or did you just leave it wrapped with saran wrap for a couple of hours and baked it the same day?
@@keykkitchen once you crumb coat the cake and freeze it for 20 mins do you put the second coat of frosting immediately and how long would you freeze the cake again with the final second coat of frosting?
Hi Sonya! You can put it in the fridge without covering as long as it's fully crumb coated. If freezing for a longer period, after you have it all set/hard, you would have to cover it with cling film. Hope this helps.
