I’ve just started sharing his music with people and most enjoy at least one or two of his songs, which makes me really happy cause Jack is super important to me
People make fun of his erratic behaviour and only enjoy the song buttercup, but his most ‘weirdest’ works hit me the most. I’m glad there’s others who feel the same!!
I think this song is about two dysfunctional people trying to maintain a very superficial and dysfunctional relationship despite them never truly understanding each other. When they aren’t arguing and hurting each other or “throwing stones” they spend most of their time doing mindless things like watching cartoons and never get the chance to actually bond and truly connect as a couple. They know if they continue they’ll do nothing but hurt each other, but even so they’re so used to each other’s company and have spent so much time together that they lie to themselves and say it can work even though they both know it’s doomed to fall apart. This is my absolute favorite Jack Stauber song though.
This song gives me a really weird feeling of discomfort and isolation but for some reason, I keep coming back. love you Jack Stauber you will probably forever be my favorite artist of all time

I have probably said this before in here but oh well. This is, in my opinion, the best song Jack has ever made. Everything in this song is just pure perfection. I cannot tell you how much times I have listened to this song, it is so damn good. I really hope it gets the recognition it deserves, and I really hope Jack makes another perfect song like this one. 💞
I really love Hilo's "Pizza boy", but man ... if this song were the end of the album, I probably would have felt a deep emptiness at the end, and I would have loved it.
Im so mad this didnt make it in Hilo, its oneof my favorite jack songs, hopefully it makes it as a secret track on the vinyl (also the song slaps at x1.25 speed)
I’m so sad and this just adds onto it. It’s almost as if it understands me (the music) it’s like it’s speaking to me. Jack stauber speaks through music and he makes music speak what a talent. @@sowelilili I figured out a good chunk of it since then. The main reason why I love this song is because it sounds like it's B Phrygian. I don't know if that is the key/mode of the entire song, but in the main repeating riff, that's what that sounds like to me. And it sounds microtonal because of how high he plays on the neck for the higher pitched chords. That combined with Phrygian will sound damn near microtonal.
Everyone keeps saying this sounds like a lost hilo song. Im pretty sure jack has confirmed this, but it sounds NOTHING like a hilo type song. Its more like a micropop with the production quality

totally agree. i don't get it why he omitted this track, it's just so magical
