I would've had 16 meltdowns, two crying sessions and 29 mishaps with measuring before i gave up and bought the real thing (excusing my spending as 'self care')... but she makes it look so easy!
This was absolutely amazing. Your ingenuity is incredible. It was funny when you said it was washable and then proceeded to sew the buttons on that way.
heheeh you are nto the first one who spots me out on this ehhehe YOU ARE RIGHTTTTT It’s makes it more complicated to wash it, but it does take around 15 min to put those buttons in.... soooooo if it was mine I’d totally open it every once in a while to wash it. On another note you can skip the buttons step and the couch would till work, but I guess you would need to “tidy up” the fold every morning ❤️
It is washable. Just use vinegar water spray withsome drops of ur favourite essential œil or use carpentfoam or carpetshampoo. Don't try to tell my pink telavivian Genius she's not perfect.;)
I don't understand how there are people who still underestimate the value of the Togo sofa and the rest of the pieces that are part of the Ducaroy collection. They are literally the most authentic and original pieces you can find in any modern catalog. And the user experience they provide is a delight. It's wonderful that there are tutorials like this on how DIY at home. I have a Ducaroy Fireside Chair that I bought at Manhattan Home Design, but I'm tempted to create a companion for it with my own hands. :) Cheers!
I swear to you no lie, i saw this exact couch in white on craigslist add and i wanted it so bad and couldn’t afford it but even if i could i couldn’t even click on the link so i can see it so i just let it go and when i got on here your video was on the top and i was shocked! 😂 thank you!!!!
Your energy, creativity and sense of humor are totally contagious! I feel like I want to hand-mass produce all your projects 😂😉👍 You make all these amazing designer sofas so easy to build! I’m glad I run into your tutorials
@@FashionAttack Of course, of course....this is way off subject, can you please do a hair tutorial? ...my hair is just like yours,, and I would love to see any tips or tricks you have. =)
This is awesome!!! Looks nice and comfortable too. Fun vid I'd sew the buttons with the flag open or on itself in the middle so the whole thing can remain washable without resewing.
Not sure how I ended up on this video but glad I did! You are so funny and your hair...love your hair!! Now to go watch some of your other videos. With love from GA USA
great job overall! however, I think the couch is not "washable" anymore, because you sewed the buttons through the material in the square with the zipper.
You are right! It’s makes it more complicated to wash it but it does take around 15 min to put those buttons in.... soooooo if it was mine I’d totally open it every once in a while to wash it. On another note you can skip the buttons step and the couch would till work but I guess you would need to “tidy up” the fold every morning ❤️
@@FashionAttackyou are right :) It was an observation more than a critique! I am the person that bought a very (initially) expensive duvee couch on discount, because it was not covered in plastic when displayed on the shop wall; and because I wanted to be clean, I unsewed the material to wash it and sewed it back :))
@@FashionAttack :)) it was a bit, but I got the couch I loved. It's made out of 14 square pillows, to which I opened 1 side of the pillow. Aside from my own madness, good luck with the following projects and keep the cheerful vibe!
Sewing the batting onto the cover would make it very hard to wash because the batting would almost certainly fall apart in the wash. Adding the buttons also means you'd need to cut the buttons off and re sew them every time you washed the cover... so I'm not sure I'd call the cover washable... LoL
Maybe I need to rewatch where she sews the button for the folds in the end... seems it's threw the whole couch making it unwashable until that string is removed. Still very fun little chair!
Great video! You are very creative. A small suggestion... Next time also use lining fabric to protect the fleece material from wear and tear especially when you wash the cover.
This is the second video I’ve watched and I love your bubbly personality!!! You remind me of my niece… Lol! Love ❤️ it! You captured my attention and I think I need to Sub now. Thanks for the DIYs and the smiles 😊.
I love this so much!! Thank you for making the tutorial can’t wait to try it for myself. One question, are the top piece of fabric and bottom piece of fabric that you sew together the exact same size?
I love, love, LOVE your energy! This could be so boring with the wrong 😴 person but you make it so fun!!!! And you've made another drinking game. Everyone has to down a butter beer and say "Harry Potter" as either Snape or McGonagall everytime you say "Diagonally". Now, get busy!!!! 🚌 🙃😬🤪🙃😉🥰
@@FashionAttack no, not too many but it was so cute and made me think of Harry. Remember? Diagon Alley or as he said it Diagonally? I loved it and you! Keep up the great work!!!!
Ciao adoro i tuoi tutorial.. Grazie
Hehe everebody asked me this. 100% right it does make it more hard to take it out yoh need to take out the button and than stretch it back in after (it takes 15 min) but that’s the only way if you want the folds to stay up all nice all the time. Otherwise you can skip the button but you will need to tidy up the folds all the time and that’s waaaaaay more effort instead of taking them out every once in a while

The fact that it’s washable makes it better then the real thing, and also if it’s washable that should mean it’s exchangeable colors 😍🤩🔥🔥
ohhhhh yes!!! you can make different cover colors!
How is it washable with the buttons though?

I love this! I do have one question, how did you cut the foam so smoothly? Would a long bread knife work or would that make jagged edges?
I used a precision knife not sure about the bread knife but you can try!
