You completely skipped over how you replace the speaker in that mount. Do you need to solder it or is it plug & play?
Just curious why wouldn't you remove all the screws before attempting to yank the panel off and potentially damaging it?

Can a new 6x9 sit in there or does it need that bracket?
If I swap out the old speakers with 3 way 6x9 speakers will I get full use out of the speakers or is there a crossover built in?
I have the Harman Kardon speaker system in my forester and the front left door speaker is bad. Can I do this upgrade?

Hi, can that speaker be replaced with a 6x9 aftermarket speaker? how about the connecter to the speaker?
yes you can mount a 6x9 there, if you order some speakers from crutch field they will usually include the mounting brackets along with the wire harness so you don't have to splice any wires. straight plug and play
