Great job. However, the purpose of using the copper board is to have a wide ground plane. It is best not to cut lines across the board as this disrupts the continuity of the ground plane. Cutting small circles or pads for each node works better and will help reduce the static.

Agree. But his method is a very fast and convenient way to make prototype "PCB" without drilling holes or chemical etching. But of course, limited to only discrete small pin count components, eg. analog simple circuits

Is the board copper-clad on both sides ?🤔 ... a via from -vdd through to the back layer would work...
I prefer the "islands" approach... small circular pads of pcb stuck on a sheet of copper-clad pcb for the ground plane...

Thats actually called Manhatten construction.. though more usually small square "islands" of copper-clad board are superglued on to a fully copper-clad board, the islands being insulated from the negative - connected main board which acts as a ground plane and reduces stray inductance & capacitance .
Look it up, some masterpieces out there... the soldering is very poor here, he needs more practice wetting the board properly before installing the components. But a good effort all-round... 🤗

Is this really an FM receiver based on the Armstrong patents, or is it just an AM set using slope detection? With just two transistors the latter seems much more likely.

Unfortunately, I'm an electronics noob with only a dangerous half knowledge.
But I would like to use your schematic as a radio building project for our youngsters handicraft group. But not without understanding, how this works.
I will try to comprehend, how it works in my own words, but please interrupt me, if this is complete and utter bullsh...!
    - You have set up an oscillator, that oscillates around an adjustable center frequency, e.g. 81MHz.
    - You couple in the RF signal from the antenna to bias this frequency to lower and upper frequencies.
    - The frequencies are mixed and as a result, you get 2 frequencies: 81MHz PLUS the received one, and 81MHz MINUS the received one.
    - 81MHz MINUS the received one is the recovered AF frequency.
    - The AF frequency is rectified through the diode of the transistor, to recover the original AF-Signal, as both half-waves together would wipe them out.
    - After that, this signal is going to a choke (10 micro henry) ? For filtering out the remaining RF? Is that the purpose of this thing?
    - Then you use a low pass filter, before going into the amplifier, to filter out all unwanted rests of any signals above the AF ??
Is that correct, or bullsh.... ? :-D
Please help and correct me, to get a better understanding, on how this schematic works! I would relly appreciate it! :-)

Sorry, but I can't stand a dirty soldering iron tip, just use a wet sponge or rag to wipe the tip after each joint, it does not take any longer, I've been soldering for 65 years.

Very good. Nice and simple circuit, but you don't show the complete Circuit Diagram in your video.

The soldering in this video is abysmal. CLEAN THE DARNED TIP AND USE SOME FLUX!

Actually good, but some criticism. The soldering points are not clean and the components on the board are special in the FM area, i.e. around 100 MHz too close to each other. Nevertheless, rate it positively. Could have been made by a child or an adult who is not familiar with soldering. That's why the thumbs up!
