This event was hosted in Miami Florida and Features MkLeo, Tweek, Sonix, Maister, Riddles, Shadic, Marss, Light, Hbox, and Dabuz playing Smash Ultimate Singles.

Bruh mars demontrated perfectly how playing against kazuya can be, you can play a near perfect neutral and still lose, just bcuz jazuya needs fewer interactions to kill

I thought rage drive goes away after 3 misses 💀
After Kazuya get Rage Drive (so if you get it at 108% it goes from there), he has a 40% batery damage window to take to lose it, and everytime kazuya attemps one the 40% batery goes minus 10%.
This MU is absolute balls for zss and hurts to watch, damn the superarmor en free kills for kazuya are crazy
Nah, Marss losing 3 stocks in a row commiting the same mistake (long lasting move while Kazuya has rage drive in a not safe position). This is part of what madr him losing.
@@bringbringish the other part is that his character doesn't have many better options aside from that risky long lasting move in those situations
It's such a fucking pissoff, you outplay him all stock and then he gets rage driver and there's fuck all you can do about it because of the insane range and armor

@@pothos489 It's less a yolo rage drive and more a cheese rage drive, he knows he's going to hit them and that it has hyper armor on it.
It's not like he was on his last stock and it was that or nothing, that'd be a yolo rage drive. This was not that.

@@Contrary22 multi hits are safer to go for and/or are combo starters for zss. Sure, marss could safely go for nair-dash attack rather than up smash, but he gets way less damage and probably no follow up either. So he does the up smash because it is the better option, but occasionally pays for it through no fault of his own. Similar situation with fair/bair. Fair is the easier input in most combos, and is less demanding technically than bair, however you also run the risk of your move simply not connecting all the way. Bair is also worse for coverage than fair because it doesn’t let as long and has an extremely honest hitbox, meaning it doesn’t really extend past zss’ foot. You can literally see in the set where fair fails to connect multiple times in a spot where it would have killed, and then when marss goes for bair it barely whiffs. Like the leg literally touched kaz, and he didn’t get hit. Side B, another terrible zss multi hit, is one of her only kill options around 100-115% that doesn’t require a combo or a hard read. It’s the safest kill option to go for in most situations, and yet that too fails to connect, which often leads to zss herself being punished. If you don’t understand zss as a character, you can say that 😂

Marss tried interacting too many times. This is one of Kazuya's worst matchups and zss still has to camp the hold time.
I mean sure he could camp harder, but the risk reward balance is so fucked in this MU
And it might be one of the harder ones, but that just tells me the character is broken AF

its so frustating seeing marss wiffing the confirms and kills and kazuya just doing 40%+ per interaction, i miss the old times when the meta was more coll to watch...
Marss is one of my favorites but the amount of people who think Kazuya is some easy character to play are mistaken and if he was that good you would see Kazuya more in top 8s around the world but the only proficient Kazuya is Riddles the guy is a great player
False. There are a lot of good Kazuya players out there that do all the shit riddles does. Only difference is they can’t make as much appearances as him because of travel/sponsor limitations. And other top players won’t pick him up because once they do we have a smash 4 bayo scenario and everyone loses their identity they worked hard for since this games release.

Use jab against kazuya, the character with bowsers heavy armor that already ignores jabs, the character with intangibility on all of his attacks, and the character that would love nothing more than for you to be right next to him 😂 yeah good idea 👍 you should play zss and show marss what he’s doing wrong!
