First of all, welcome! I'm quite new to the F-16 but so far have found it to be quite intuitive, likely more than the F18 but it is hard to say since once you learn one, it's easier to move on to the next one. Both are great with plenty of resources as far as tutorials go. I would probably say the F16 is easier to learn but the best advice I can give you is to pick the one you enjoy/ feel more passionate about since the learning curve can be relatively extensive and you'll need to stay motivated. Picking your favorite will help you better enjoy the learner experience. Heck, I'm still learning! I started with the Hornet since I'm from Canada and that is our sole fighter, but also DCS has a great supercarrier module which adds to the experience. Thanks for stopping by, hope this helps.
I, like Yankee also own both and started with the F-18. I agree with Yankee that the 16 is more intuitive with the caveat that I learned the F-18 first, making it easier to pick-up the 16. I also agree with picking the one you're more passionate about because the learning curve for your first module is MUCH steeper than your second. I am passionate about carrier ops and thus picked the f-18 first. Pick what you want to learn and start watching the tutorials as both modules have many, many options as far as folks with tutorials on UA-cam. Best of luck to you Kieth!!
Thanks both! Good insight. I did choose the f16 because it grabbed my attention most and for a long time. I do love it, and probably just having a "grass is greener" feeling since I now know enough to be dangerous, but want to be good and it just plain takes time and experience. I love the f18 too and I'm sure I'll get to that one, but with your comments I think I'll keep working on my skills in the 16. Thx!
Love the content dude. The reason you got the abort call on the jtac runs was a missed step in the procedure; you'd forgotten your "i have the laser" and IN calls, so jtac never got to clearing you hot
I haven't flown anything yet, but your channel is one of 2 or 3 that made me pull the trigger on the sim. Already got the F18 and some maps during the Christmas sale, and a throttle on the way. Now I'm waiting for my next paycheck to get a stick. So stoked to start flying.
Yeah man I check out the missions you pick thanks for checking them out for us. I started out DCS doing bfm and it’s pretty cool learning the other systems of the jet/jets in AG.
Of course! I'm glad many of you fly them! Those mission creators worked hard on them. I'm sure they appreciate people enjoying them as much as possible.
Sti pretty new to dcs, haven't hit any missions yet, just learning to fly so far. But will definitely be doing the missions you fly.Great content easy to watch really enjoyable channel ✌
New viewer to your channel, and still pretty new to dcs.
Do u find the f16 or f18 to be more intuitive vs finicky?
Thx for what u do.

Awesome thanks for that! I figured I missed a step somewhere. I'll know for next time. Cheers

That's so exciting! What a great Christmas present! Enjoy!
I fly all of the missions you post. Thanks very much for posting them!
Awesome! Glad you like them! Thanks for following :)
Great video man, watched a few now and easily becoming the main dcs channel I am watching.
I really appreciate you saying that. Really mean a lot
I’ve done a few but not all. Keep posting the missions. Most other UA-camrs don’t. and when I run into one, that looks really fun, I wanna fly it
I'll certainly do my best!
