I built this minimalist kinetic wall art piece using a 3d printer and laser cutter. It's inspired by the work of David C. Roy and the House of Dr. Moon UA-cam channel. Such an underrated channel, I'm glad to find it.
Wow thanks so much! I put a lot of work into these videos so I super appreciate it! 🙂🙂🙂
I would like a more detailed video of the mechanism you have. It looks cool, maybe i could use it for something I have wanted to build.
Very nice, but it would be interesting to hear how you solved the various challenges you faced during this project. Maybe in a separate video?
So to get the bearing to fit onto the steel tube I I grinded it down until it was able to fit on. Getting the mechanical part of this to work just took a lot of tinkering. I moved magnets around changed the magnet polarities, tightened and loosened certain parts of it, and honestly there's probably just some luck mixed in there. I'm literally afraid to touch any of it now that I have it working 🤠🤠
Now THIS is kinetic!
Hey thanks Joe! I'm a huge fan of your channel. Perhaps we can collaborate soon 🤠
New subscriber. This stuff is righht up my alley.
This is awesome!
I’m so mesmerized 😵💫😍 love it! Another fantastic project and congratulations on your sponsor! My husband will definitely want to add this laser cutter to our arsenal 😂
Thanks!!! The effect is even cooler in person. It's like an optical illusion 😸
@@LukasDeem hahaha Amber gave me a sneak peek on FaceTime and I swore I was getting hypnotized 😂 Not only is it cool, but it’s so aesthetically pleasing 😌 minimalist modern scandi vibes for sure - my fave!
Killing it 🔥Keep it up
Hey thanks man!
Amazing content bro! Lasers 😮
Yeah boi! The laser cutting part of this was super cool. I'm already coming up with other ideas that use it 😌
Another great project! Love it!
Ayy thanks! We have it hanging in our kitchen, it's pretty cool looking 😎
This is such a great design, love the minimalistic art style
Hey thanks so much!! 😀
Hey Lukas.
Another great piece man.
Good call on sealing the arms.
Hey thanks so much! My past woodworking experience was telling me it was the right thing to do.
You're giving me motivation to start posting my own projects to UA-cam. Great projects, keep it up!
Thanks so much! Honestly I made multiple projects before I finally decided to start recording and posting them. I wish I would have started sooner! I will say it adds almost twice the work though. Now you not only have to build a project but you have to video it and edit it. Comments like this help keep me motivated. Once you post your first video let me know!
didn't know that frame by frame trick. THANKS!
It's a game changer 🤣. On the flip side I also watch videos at 2x speed to get through them more quickly 😎

Anyone else see that?
The Lego Minifigure? 😂
@@LukasDeem Yes.
I have watched all of your videos. The video quality is excellent. I've noticed that your videos aren't getting as many views as they deserve. If you implement SEO strategies for your videos, I'm confident that they will attract a lot more views. I believe your videos have the potential to rank organically and gain a wider audience.
I am waiting for your reply.
