Did you check the measuring cup with a black light? Looks like uranium glass :)
The USA bar shaker and the green measure cup were my fav! So neat! 😊
I think the shaker is my fave too!
Loved the nut bowl. Yesterday's video was not a surprise for me. I live very close to both places you went to. I was disgusted, but not surprised about the Christmas stuff @ salvation army. That stuff should've been dirt cheap, the holiday is over. I bet you enjoy having both hands free, or maybe not, some find it not a good fit for them. Enjoyed the video
Great haul, love the walnut. Karen from bargain barons might be able to help with information on the shade. Her and partner/husband Rob buy and sell antiques.
Thanks for answering my post. Taco and scrap and Pallet man are my favorite resellers and junk men. Please tell TAco hi for me. I love your channel also , you pick up a lot of interesting i tems. Keep up the good work! ❤❤😐
Don't know why I haven't found and subscribed to you sooner. Great video, really enjoyed it and can't wait to see what is next. Joanne
Hey Tina another great video as usual! Love you being a down to earth person also. That’ll draw many viewers in my opinion any how!
Time just curious is you could share how much room your inventory takes up, turn around time on most of it, I do remember seeing a piece that just sold you’d had 4 years if I’m not mistaken. Also how many 1000’s do you have to tie up to get started doing this type of business?
We’re both retired, well I’m disabled and have an extremely small income. Would it even be practical for us to try this or not? Really want an honest answer. Thanks
God bless🙏
Hi, Mike. I would say I have everything stored in approximately 700 Sq feet of space, but that is a guess. Also I have a longer tail business model, which is price on the higher side and wait for the right buyer, but everyone runs their business differently. Also you do not need to spend 1000s to start out, not at all. You can even start selling things around your home. Or go to yard sales or thrift stores and start out with $20-$30 and once you sell the items you bought just re-invest the profit into more inventory and slowly build that way. I would highly recommend you to try it out. Let me know how it goes, if you decide to go for it! And let me know if you have any questions.
Not sure if someone already said this but check that green measuring cup with a black / ultraviolet light it look like it could be uranium/ vaseline glass
My like won't stay for some reason!😢 So here's my LIKE I was number 2!
Thanks, Frances 😊
I think i saw Taco , telll me if you sw him also!
Yes, he is a friend of mine, we usually plan out the church sales together
The small bowl inside the nut is for the discarded shells.
Oh that makes sense! thanks!
That lamp shade is very old antique
That shaker!!💗💗
The lamp shade is great. It could have came off a lamp, but more than likely from a ceiling fixture. Very cool!!
Great shopping and haul, love the lamp shade, very cool! Just subbed to your channel too.
love your hair in the high pony tail, cute
Do people have to get permission to tape the sales.
Sometimes, the people having the sale, seem to know.
Sometimes,they seem annoyed.
The good thing about the church sales everything is categorized and clean.
How do they get so much in those bags.
We have rolling bags or laundry carts and boxes.
The difference in church sales ,the parking is usually not close to the entrance.
I saw some vintage dinner plates on the floor.
I would have bought them.
They were square and odd shaped.
The glassware was great.
I like the lampshade and would use it as a vase,if it has a flat bottom
It is definitely a ceiling shade.
Seems American-Dutch.
I want the pig bowls!
new to your site ...having fun watching the videos .... live close by and know that church well ...
Love your choices today, lamp shade is my fav but would have had to pick up that huge walnut too, kinda weird but in a good way.
Love how you explain what each item is. Especially how to tell real high end purses vs fakes.
Oh the Chico's belt was AWESOME!! LUV it!
Love the walnut .... do people notice your GoPro ? Love the jug ....that light shade is beautiful .....
I have seen some people give me a look, but no one has said anything yet. I wear a zippered sweatshirt too so it's probably less noticeable with that, but during the hot months I will probably just carry it instead of using the chest harness
omg! Taco Stacks!! Do you know him?
kathy Roach Yes, he’s a friend of mine
Tina, I'm not sure if you're a member or not but if not then go and join. Jocelyn with the crazy lamp lady started a Facebook group called "old things identification" it's a great group. Some one on there will know info on the lamp shade.
Someone else mentioned that, I do follow Jocelyn on instagram and I watch her channel, but I am not on facebook to join that group.
Love how you and @TacoStacks point things out to each other. You and @Auction Life and @Tucker Upoer and of course @Taco Upper support each other channels that’s Awesome comrodery
LOL - I was just wondering that was Taco Stacks walking by.
nice art deco hand painted shade-and very cheap!!!-the 2 cup green measuring cup goes for up to 40 dollars in NJ area-I paid 50 for my lamp shade-and yours is also hand painted-
I priced it at $55 on etsy, maybe I should adjust that price 🤔
Hi Tina, I love how fast you get through the room and still find great items. The light shade is my favorite, amazing find. I like to put a box with dividers, from the liquor store in the Ikea bag. They are small enough and help keep the glass protected.
That is a great idea! I know a lady who works at the liquor store so next time I see her I'll ask her for some of those!
Love that vintage shaker - very kewl ~!!
Thanks, the only thing I find strange is how thin the glass is for a shaker like this, but I guess it's survived this far 🤷🏼♀️
@@GeminiThrifts Ive seen the thin ones, too - youd think for what theyre used for that they would be a bit thicker. Great haul though!
Great video Tina. There were gold rimmed barwear glasses that went with that shaker in a different area. They looked to be 60's of 70's era as was the msrtini shaker. Have a good one@
I wish they would have had the matching glasses with it!
You could also advertise the light shade as a replacement shade for a hanging lamp, you know the ones that have a chain around the cord.
Yes, that's what I was thinking it might be for.
Like your video. First time watching you. Good job!
Thanks, Angie!
When I see all those people there, I always wonder how many are buying for their own use and how many are buying to resell.
I'd say probably about 1/2 & 1/2, but that's just a guess
Love the green measuring jug
Nice thing's love watching
Really enjoyed the video! Thanks for taking us along!
Thanks for watching, Renee!
Thank you so much for sharing your adventure. The beautiful shade might be for an antique bridge lamp. Vintage and antique shades are hard to find (many are reproductions, but yours looks very old). Do some research on the shade........I would love for you to hit the jackpot!❤️
I've tried to do some research, but I'm not finding a whole lot except that it may be for a pendant light. I got it listed on etsy today so we'll see how it goes. Thanks for watching, Jean 😊
The Crazy Lamp Lady has a Facebook page devoted to identification. People post pictures of their finds and usually very quickly someone will respond will all the information you need. You can get a date it was made, who made it, and what it was used for. If it’s a known artist painted piece, that also changes the price. It’s an extremely informative group. Check them out and sign up. There’s a link to it on her channel.
@@justjean222 I am not on facebook or I definitely would, it sounds like a great group! I love her channel too!
Awesome haul Tina. That measuring cup might glow under a black light. I have pitcher in the same color.
I'll have to see if I still have a black light laying around and check it
I found that out from Bargain Barons Tina! They collect them.@@GeminiThrifts
Why don't you take paper to pad your glassware?
I usually try to pad it with clothing I pick up
Wow you have done this 5years amazing
I've been doing this longer, but full-time for actually 6 years 😊
Sweet Haul!
4:02 incognito Taco. Great finds.
😎🌮
Some good items to list. I love the walnut bowl!!
Thanks, Linda!
Love the shade with the trees !
Love lampshade
Taco didn't seem impressed by your lamp shade.
Yeah he's not a big fan of breakable items 😂
@@GeminiThrifts unless it is blue Mason jars
@@timothymiller4217 Yes, he does like those 😊
@@GeminiThrifts yeah, he bought 2 boxes of jars at one of the rummage sales.
Timothy Miller yes, that was the sale we were at last Thursday I think
