I think it would’ve been interesting if, instead of Nolan’s bug wife willingly giving up Oliver, Mark had to convince her to let him take Oliver. Mark would have to convince her that because of her short lifespan, Oliver’s life would be much harder as everyone he knows would live and die. This would directly echo what Nolan told Mark allowing Mark to truly understand the situation Nolan was in
The point of that scene is literally what you are saying lol, just plays out the opposite way. Andressa willingly giving up his son makes Mark realize that maybe Nolan's worries about how Mark outlive the humans was genuine.
The Lizard League are a joke... when facing the Guardians at full strength When facing only three of them, especially non heavy-hitters, they're much tougher
