I set this up with your tutorial yesterday using Linux...however, I think I would prefer to have my node run via node ops....can I make this switch easily (by disconnecting my Linus VPS) and just go through the process of setting it up with your Node Ops tutorial? Or am I better off just leaving it having myself run the node....any info, I would really appreciate it.
Yes , u can switch easily. When u undelegate your VPS node on the Aethir dashboard it's automatically disconnected. You can just proceed to NodeOps and start afresh, I have a tutorial for NodeOps on my channel as well
I set up 2 nodes on digitalocean with the exact same steps. but one of them is only "checking" whereas the other is "ready". do you know what's going on?
Both ready and checking are good. Ready means your node is online and waiting for a checker task, Checking means it's performing a task. I think for both you get paid

I had this yesterday too. It appeared to be a problem on Aethirs end. Just make sure u are running the latest version , or reboot the server
Is this also the same process for migrating using windows vps?

Means the app is already running. You have to kill it first before opening it
