Mr. Alen, working with the community leaving in interior area and facilitating them to ease their life is really great job.
Thank you so much for posting. I live in the united states but I am wanting to create a water catchment system so that I do not have to pay for or depend on municipal water systems. This was a very comprehensive , well spoken, very informative, and well thought out video. You have answered my questions of being able to build my own cistern and how to Seal it. Thank you again. All love and God Bless

Charlie Chong - Cement dust is one thing, cured concrete is something else. Totally different and inert in most cases.
Analogy can be made for example between fresh paint or cured paint. The first can be full of nasty vapors from thinners, etc. in it's dry form you use it on tables chairs, etc. where you can have direct contact. Hope it helps. :-)
I have a vague memory of bio gas dome being built at my home using similar method . That was some 20 years ago. I plan to build a shallower and larger diameter water tank for keeping fish as a hobby. I was looking for a how to video on this subject to refresh my memory and learn more about this method of tank construction. That is how I came across this one. This video is very informative and covers the subject in a detailed fashion. Thank You for your effort.
I like this video, especially seeing the whole community involved in the project. People can do wonders when they cooperate. Thank you.
6:59 I’ve never seen this rebar bending trick before ingenious- simple !
Thank you so much for sharing this experience ! I need a tank myself greatly , your idea will be in my yard by summer ! You have blessed me with your wonderful idea ! Thank God and Bless you for sharing this !👣
Head's off to Mr. Alan Bemo and his staff. The world needs people like you. Thank you!
All I got to say thank you for helping them built the tank to collect their water we need more people like you helping out , all of the people to have an easier life thank you ! Gracias
Коллективный труд и хороший инженер-залог качественного результата) спасибо
Your work with the community is fantastic, but this is also the best video I have seen on FeCement.
Water is life and this is a brilliant idea to make durable water reservoirs to harvest rain water. Before drinking, need to check if there is any harmful chemicals as lead, arsenic, etc. in the Cement used. Thanks.
👍👍jefe exelente. Trabajó. Que. Diosito. Te. De. Munchicima Salud. Para. Halludar. A. Perzonas que. Lo. Necesitamos mil gracias 🙏 🙏👍
this is an amazing video of how it is done. all the tools are first rate and easy to make and workmanship is amazing. hats off to this project
Awesome that you've done this for these people. May I suggest using metal fittings for a remote village that has no home depot. Pvc is total poo. Those fittings will be destroyed within year or so, that ball valve is not serviceable if it needs maintenance.
most informative video on ferrocement tanks available on youtube.
Very interesting is the video, as to review it again. The important thing of all this is, that Mr. Alam Bemo is very explicit with his words when it comes to teaching. And more when not everyone speaks your language. GOD BLESS you for your hard work.
Very helpful to those people who can't afford to carry a water tank or those villages without a street. This is good project for anyone.
Profetional job.Absolutely helpfull!.Really helpfull to anybody ho wants to store rainwater anywhere. Thanks for sharing.
Very , very nice job ... with a minimal tools and the enthusiast of all people get for prosperous village..... To think that there are people who stand by and do something ....thanks for sharing..... greetings fm Chile
Everyone in short supply of water watch this extremely brilliant. God bless😇
Greetings. It was really nice to show them how to do it ! I realize that it was more important than just making a water tank. Knowledge is wonderful indeed. I am sure this watertank will help them for a long time
Are there any considerations for cold climates with ferro cement tanks other than basic maintenance and winterizing (if above ground)?
it is very good for countryside small villages, therefore I would like to thank you for presenting y this videos
Thank you. Best on cement tank seen. Making mine next to my little house, off grid.
Same.
Who could not like this?
Great video.
Спасибо за хорошее видео!!! Всем привет из Майкопа Республика Адыгея, Россия!!!
This is a touching video on how we can bless others ,just using our knowledge to be a blessing for others, only the love of christ made this man to leave his country to serve other, love is more than words it is action
Making a better world to live on. Congratulations.
Very beautiful God bless you I am very happy 😄 in this humanitarian and beautiful work
Very good example for teamwork!
May God reward you for all the good you do for other people.❤
I-LOVE-IT! It must be a thrill to share that kind of knowledge and with people who need it the most and co-work with them in the process. In my next life, that's definitely something I'd like to get involved in.
Well Done, this is probably the best demonstration for ferrocement I have ever seen!
Was thinking of a tank and your UA-cam has gave me the Perfect idea for my house, Thanks.
Thank you sir for your very good project I got the information which I was looking for very long time thanks once again.
Those 449 people who gave this a thumb down are brain dead! Thank you for helping those villagers. Very informative vid.
Thanks for help our hmong people
Good Job!! Looks like a satisfying project to be involved in!
Very nice job! What a lifesaver for these people.
Excellent video. We will be building one for a school in the Marilog District, Davao, Mindanao, Philippines.
Fantastic video, thanks for taking the time and effort to share your wonderful work.
Very nice video 👍
Worked very robustly and honestly.
Very Nice Work! I'm Very Inspired By Your Video Making Tanks For Remote Villagers. God Bless & Thank You For Posting This Video.
this was a wonderful video I really enjoyed watching it in fact this is the second one I've watched of you building these water catch pots it's fulfilling seeing how much someone can change the lives of so many with just some inexpensive products, you are a good person, keep up the good fight for those less fortunate God bless you and your friends and family.
Alan GOD Blesa you for what you are doing. Great video.
Good teamwork and good work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
good job helping this community I just hope there is nobody testing the river waters and back yards for minerals to steal.
Watching from kenya. I am impressed
Muito obrigado por fazer esse vídeo instrutivo, ele mudara a vida de muita gente para melhor no mundo todo, obrigado.
Excellent video! Well done. I will be building a hospital in Kenya July 2015 using ferrocement. Would appreciate any experience building support columns with ferro.
YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THE RAM PUMP TO SEND WATER TO HIGHER ELEVATION WITH NO ELECTRICITY NEEDED
Very nice idea. I like it.
Rebar and mesh can be substituted with bamboo, it's remarkably resilient. Thomas Edison had a bamboo reinforces concrete pool that held water for 90 years
Can you make a hope out of bamboo? With real thin strips? That would seem like a lotta lotta work. The rebar really doesn't contribute to the strength of the structure. It just helps to create the form. The strength comes from the tensile hoop strength of the mesh.
what extra care have to take for Bamboo reinforces?
are you cray cray? bamboo is organic and breaks down fast. smh.
@@bvbxiong5791if bamboo is not exposed to oxygen, it would do its job
Awesome Sir. Can't wait to build my own water storage tank.
What a smart people
Excellent. God bless you. Keep up the good work.
So wonderful and helpful.
What a great Tank. Thanks for sharing. I will build one for myself soon. Hope it will turn as nice as yours. Thanks again.
Hebat dan kreatip banget sip
What a wonderful video. God bless you!
Masha'Allah very nice thanks so much very heard work God bless you all in this life and Hear aftar
Thank you for this very informative and step by step video! Just like a previous viewer, I too live in the United States and want to reduce my dependence on municipal water and energy and have been reading on ferrocement tanks. This video now shows me how to build what I need. Although my shape is more like a giant "U" and will be partially inground this has been just what the Dr ordered. So, thank you for makinging it and sharing it too.

You may drink polluted with cement water. Could be wrong.
Right...they drink cement-washed water...pretty toxic.
www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15448758
The cement is inert once cured. Not toxic at all. There are cement lined pipes in some municipal water systems, and not a problem. There are regulations in many places about rain water harvesting, especially for potable use. It can be very onerous if allowed at all, though not necessary scientifically. Just political.
+Charlie Chong,
That is talking about Cement Dust. Where would this Cement dust be after the cement is cured?
Added:
"Cement industry is involved in the development of structure of this advanced and modern world but generates dust during its production"
So after construction is done, rinse the dust away, no dust any more unless someone grinds the hard cement.
Zoo sab rau mej. Tau klej haus lawm lo. 😉💧🍺
325 idiots thumbs downed the video. Why? Great job sir, we need more people like you. Sorry some people are never satisfied.
TilDeath1776 US Those people thumbs it down because it's done using basic tools and people are working without so called safety/protective gears. Some people can't live and let other's live and function out of their bubbles. Lol! This is such a great project and it's heartwarming to see how the community came together. I hope people realize that not everyone has the privileged life that they live..
very good video.. it was so easy to understand.. great job!
Awesome work!
thanks great job
جزاكم الله كل خير
The villagers love helping 👍👍
Thank you
que gran trabajo, los felicito y gracias por compartir
Admirable Sir!! My congratulations to you....
Good idea.

Excellent job. Well done
Wonderful work!
Nice content. Thank you for sharing. Will support and will be following your videos,
Bravo !
A wonderful video.
Errata at 0:36: Area = πr^2 (pi r squared)
Brilliant works thanks
,,,God Bless Y'all.
This is awesome. I'm impressed with the build but also how these people were able to complete the task using primitive tools. Nice job
lol I use those same "primitive" tools for work here in America
those primitive tools that you're talking are the modern one...maybe you didn't go in elementary school itself..lol
Primitive tools just like you buy at home depot or lowes in NYC
Jeff Black primitive?? or basic tools??
I hear a bunch of guys in Egypt once threw up some pyramids using even more 'primitive' tools.
Very inspirational the way I see it, teach a man to fish and they've got food for life...
Nice and interesting work!!!!...
Keep going!!!...greetings
Fantastic tutorial!
Some time see if a couple of layers of welded-wire metal fence can do for the rebar.
Just for kicks, try a model with local fibers weaved into a wire basket frame and concrete that up. If it works, it will be cheaper than all metal.
*****
With fibercrete they mix fibers with concrete, usually fiberglass.
Anything you can make a strong lasting rope out of should do for fiber. Chop into short pieces and mix.
Look up papercrete on UA-cam, so many lbs paper ground into water mixed with less weight of concrete makes papercrete. Stronger fibers should make stronger results?
*****
You could weave thin bamboo or splits into a thick bamboo frame and fill with concrete or small-fiber fibercrete.
Suppose you made a boat hull and filled the weave with canned foam instead? It would need a stronger skin at the least.
ممتاز
God bless you and to this community..
excellent work..

I think that if you could afford to wait. what I would do is make some kind of setup where I would make or pour the lid on the tank that way it will conform to its surface. great video great information
Thank you for all the details! Great video :)
Thank you for posting this Good job
make the cage reinforcement first then just set it in the concrete.
Exelente la idea fue muy buena... nice job
FELICIDADEZ AMIGOS
SALUDO DESDE MEXICO!
Thanks for the video, very nice.
Very well explained..thank you!
Well done job....
Very well done ! .... an extremely comprehensive video
