this is cool, but as you mentioned, elesh norn doesn't really lend itself to the combo plan. i feel like you'd rather be playing her as a value commander, and use brago for the combo list. you get access to blue to fight for your combos and you get to threaten to combo off at instant speed every combat
You need something to kickstart the loop somehow, in the example Ephemerate though it would work with other flicker effects like Teleportation Circle. It works since Ephemerate needs to resolve before other triggers are put on the stack. Since Abdel leaves as part of resolving Ephemerate, Felidar comes back into play. Then when you finish resolving Ephemerate both Abdel's and Felidar's triggers go on the stack which you can order however you want, though you need to declare targets when they go on the stack. You order it so Abdel will resolve exiling Felidar and whatever else you want while also targeting Abdel with Felidar's trigger on the stack. When you resolve Abdel's etb you make all the tokens and Felidar is gone. Then you resolve the Felidar trigger that's still on the stack, flickering Abdel. Like Ephemerate or whatever kickstarted the combo, Felidar will produce the same effect creating the loop. I hope this helps and thank you for watching!

How exactly would that Abdel felidar combo work on the stack? When I try to walk through it, my guardian gets stuck outside of exile.
