Lyrics:
I found a picture that we took when we brought in the new year
It's hard to see but I remember
You wore a cocktail dress, ignored the goosebumps on your neck
The name sake of your outfit to keep you warm
You always said that every thought I had was geometric
I couldn't think outside my own lines
I hope you're alright, and I'm sorry that I wasted your time
Never had the intention to make you go
To make you go
To make you go, to make you go, I never wanted to make you go
You might be a stranger now and I just wanted to let you know
That I meant what I said
And every dream I've ever had has been of myself
And every dream I've ever had's been of a better view with a ten month summer
Losing you is like cutting my fingers off
And even with that summer
Without you I'd rather cut my fingers off

Turnover's new album 'Altogether' is out Nov 1st! Watch the music video for lead single "Much After Feeling" here: ua-cam.com/video/qsQgB8LhyMg/v-deo.html
I genuinely think this album might be one of the greatest pieces of music we've had. The mixing and choice of sound design and effects is just immaculate. This album was made to be euphoric, and it exceeds that feeling. It's druglike. I just hope in my lifetime I'll be able to hear another record like this one, because it gave me nostalgia (and not just any nostalgia, the kind of nostalgia your happiest memories from your childhood give you.) for 2 whole months - August and September of 2023. Keep in mind this was 4-5 months ago from the time I'm posting this comment.
i feel you dude 😔😔 albums like this and good nature are so fkn nostalgic its so good. its a shame they dont make music like this now :(
i use to put this album on at the restaurant i worked at when it died down. it gives me good vibes they definitely have a cerebral feeling that calms me down and takes me back to another time
yeah bro i love nostalgia
I just had a new girl put me on this and it’s amazing. I got clean 3 months ago and the nostalgia is exactly what I needed…it feels perfect it feels like the first time I heard silversun pickups 😢
Felt that 🧡
Peripheral Vision is the perfect album for driving
Edit: many a days were spent in California driving with this record blasting. I just get so sad about the past, but so nostalgic at the same time. I’m glad this record manages to bring so many people together.
Yessss
AGREEEEEEEE
Yassss!
holy shit yes
Yes!!
To anyone that will read this, I know we have our differences and our own struggles in life but don't give up.
Thank you so much man. Appreciated💓💓
Yo thanks!
Just got put of detox for fetynal and Xanax. Going to a 6 month rehab in a few days. This song gives me feels
@@critfiend4736 I hope you're doing good bro
@@critfiend4736 hey dude, I've been there exactly. Fentanyl and Xanax both. I'm two years sober now. I overdosed twice on fentanyl. Should've died both times. Never thought I'd be where I am now. Don't give up bro, there's light at the end of the tunnel... I promise. Music that gives the feels like this got me through a lot. Especially when I wanted to give up and say fuck it n go get high. Stay strong. If you really want it you'll get it.
This is hands down one of my favourite songs ever.
I love this song and love that so many people are digging the sound and emotions that it stirs up. Great album, very very special.
I'm used to seeing you on Neil Young Videos haha
Britpop Soul Ha i love all rock genre's man! Really dig this whole album!

Emptiness bruh

Good storytelling. He really did a great job letting us feel what he felt.

'losing you is like cutting my fingers off' 'without you I'd rather cut my fingers off' - hit hard being a fellow guitarist. Great lyrics.
Yes, very poetic

Criminally underrated album. Their best. I will never get tired of this.
Never
if you think about it, when he says "without you, I'd rather cut my fingers off" it's such a deep line considering he is a musician and a guitarist. He's basically saying he'd choose her over music.
The line is: living without you is like cutting my fingers off.
He's not choosing. He's lamenting.
You're like 13 bro
Also applies to professional wow players
@@mikehitchcock5753ok I hate turnover this song and this album but at 2:50 he does say “without you I’d rather cut my fingers off” so let’s not give this alleged 13 year old too hard of a time

2:35 to the end is one of those extra magical moments in music that are super super rare. I can't remember the last time a song gave me a feeling like that. Wow....
The build up at the end is legendary.
Best break in any song ever imo. The double break!

Favorite album of all time, no contest. I think a lot of us evolved with the band as they grew and changed their sound.
This is one of those songs that feels like it's actually about a real person and I can hear every single bit of sadness in his voice

Because it is

This song never, never, ever gets old. Never.
This song reminds me when I went to my ex’s hometown at Tulungagung, East Java, Indonesia, once that time I was surprised her with came impromptuly due to her words “I miss u dear”, then after 2 days we’ve been met each others-ly to liberate ours yearning feeling, there was a misunderstanding problem that cause her to drive me away, I knew that I’ve been done such a mistake and indeed that was my fault I admit it, yet I have no any intention to make you go eventhough I can’t thought outside my own lines, afterwards I was went home, alone in my car, in the middle of the rain at strange’s town with this heart touching song that very relate with my feelings, even until this current time. Its been 4 months after we broke up and we might be a stranger now, yet my feeling is still to be same upon you and I am sorry to all of you guys to write sort of a long story of mine, I think this is the best way that I suppose to do to relieve this sorrowness, I love you so much Jebe. I just want to thank that person that introduced me to this group, amazing music!
bringing back that 90's sound!
darthmon26 not really. Shoegaze started in the 90's. It was influenced by jangly guitar effects from 80's indie rock though. I
Tom Irby ok if you count the jesus and mary chain and cocteau twins. But it wasnt shoegaze back then. I dont want to keep arguing over this, it's stupid. The music is awesome and that's all that matters
this isn't shoegaze anyway lol
This has shoegaze influence
No, My Bloody Valentine and others started in the late 80s
There's this mix of different emotions rioting inside me right now while this song plays. This is outstanding.
laying in the middle of the road playing this is how i spend my free time
I can relate to this. Head in the clouds. Headphones on letting the music take you away.
Wish I lived somewhere I could lay in the middle of the road with out getting ran over
Why on the road. It's so uncomfortable. Why not the grass?
@@c1rcusfreak why lay on the grass when you can smoke it
My childhood was spent doing that. There’s something about laying on the road and looking up at the stars, listening to music and living in the moment!
One of the only bands that their music sounds like there album cover
oh my god thats so accurate
couldn’t agree more..
This is more vague than my chase for happiness.
The band ‘Brand New’ falls into this category as well
You must not listen to a lot of music.
Awesome single! They've grown so much musically. I'm super stoked to hear their latest album now.
it's nice to hear young bands keeping this style alive.
I don't think I've had a band captivate me as much as Turnover has.
This band is a gem
peripheral vision will always be my fav turnover album & its just sheer brilliance tho lets goooooooooooooooo
There’s a certain satisfaction in knowing every time he hears this song he will think of me
these vibes man..
so good
This song reminds me of now. Not a year ago, not two years ago. But now.
Not a timestamp nor a timelapse, but a moving circuitry of anything that is "now". If you happen to read this while listening, don't record. Just feel it. Listening to it now is as unique as it could get
You always said that every thought I had was geometric, I couldn't think outside my own lines.

This album brings back so many memories. Truly incredible.

over 9000/10 would listen on repeat again.
My fave song on the album. Hands down.
I’ve casually been listening to turnover for a decent amount of time but it’s only recently I’ve really gotten into them and this song is probably my favorite to them. The lyric that resonates the most with me is “and every dream I’ve ever had has been of myself” and for some reason, that line just sort of reminds me that I need to think of myself more and take care of myself more. It sounds weird because this line also reminds me of a selfish thought but it just means something more to be honestly. I just love this song and this album and I got my boyfriend to love it too. It’s just too special.
Album of the year for me. Nothing will beat this one IMO.
I saw these guys last night in my hometown of Lancaster, PA. They opened are were awesome! Great live performance
It's always a pleasure to come back to this album. 17 year old me did a wonderful job! These songs have been with me during some of my best days :')
It makes me proud these guys are where I'm from.
So hyped for this album
This song is fucking dreamy dude. Like the beginning is too good.

Edit: 2020) Thanks for the thumbs up! (Most I've ever had)
Agree, don't want them to change too much!
Seems like that's the plan, they said they found themselves with this album, and plan on staying with this vibe until it doesn't feel natural anymore
I want them to stay like this, without recycling every song that is.
Gavin Haley they didn’t
Gavin Haley they didn’t :/
So much better than anything I've heard from them previously.
This song. This record. I can’t thank Austin and crew enough for them. I’ve listened to Atleast one or two songs off of Peripheral Vision since may of 2015.
this song reminds me of the good old days a few years back. it really is a nostalgic & dreamy song
The fact that there's no video for this masterpiece and pretty much the only single off the album is beyond me.
"Cutting My Fingers Off" - one of my favourite all time songs!
I cried when you I added this song to the dumb playlist you've made for me. I still love you with all my heart.
god i love this song. something about the instrumental and lyrics that brings me so much nostalgia. i love this album

I swear it says I hope you're alright love I'm sorry that I wasted your time.. but holy shit this song hits so hard in all the feels
I’ve thought this since I heard it in 2015!
I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS ALBUM.
I just found the turn over this summer and I’ve been playing them everyday lol this is my favorite song it hits you
This whole album is a mood and timeless.
Ever since I first heard them, they've become one of my favorite bands. This song just blew my mind and can't wait for the album.
me and my girlfriend recently broke up. i always listened to this song and it made me think of her every single time. losing her truly is like cutting every single one of my fingers off. i remember just the mere thought of her leaving wouldn’t bring tears to my eyes, but now that thought is a reality, and everytime i listen to this song I still think of her and end of breaking down. not a whole lot of songs can bring me such emotion. a majority of the time now i just feel numb all the time. this song gives me something to feel, both good and bad. it makes me remember all the wonderful times we had together, but it also reminds me of the fact that she’s gone and moved on.
Keep your head up and let the time heals your heartwound, it will be fine :)
How are you doing nowadays? Kind of in the same situation as what you said in your comment but there’s been a little bit of time to heal. It’s just hard to go a day without thinking about her.
this is beautiful omg.
Happy Birthdayy Peripheral Visionn!
I'm so high right now and stumbled on this album, how can I be expected to handle work on a day like this now?
ugh Turnover you are brilliant
One of my favorite songs of all time off one of my favorite albums of all time
I find it so weird, I listen to almost solely metal, specifically djent and technical death metal/deathcore, but the tone on this album is soooooooo damn good I love it so much
you'll never know but the thought of you during the toughest time of my life thusfar really made me a better person
This whole album is a goddamn banger.
Getting an old school transit vibe, and I fucking love it. Awesome song, Cannot wait for the album.
Like Listen and Forgive Transit? Because their real old stuff is really lively and fast.
There’s nothing as transfixing as the first few bars of this unspeakably beautiful song.

Today is the day i finally found out that i knew she's the one for me. to notice it too late is the stupidest thing man can do. End up regretting all things i ever did. To loosing her is the burden for me. I end up felt empty without your light upon me. Seek love is wonderful but losing one is just like cutting a fingers off.
Love this band and totally am here for their evolution. Yet can we all just admit not to be derivative can we just have an entire band that has this album texture tempo vibe style it literally is immaculate
