Rune was the biggest collaps I've ever seen. Maybe if Baez had turned up his level to God mode, could I understand Rune's collaps. But he killed himself out there. Went from great to disaster. He desperately needs a top notch mental coach.
ok, write it down, if you want: he needs to change his relationship with his mother. patrick is doing a horrible job. he should know better! rune is an underachiever right now.
Needs to get rid of Motorglue. That greasy vapid blowhard used-car salesman is useless after the tenth time he's told you to 'watch the ball' or 'relax your wrist'.
@@oooodaxteroooowhat's going on between Rune and his mom?
He needs a forehand that doesn’t get attacked on neutral rallies.
Patrick is busy with his social media glamour 😂
Watch out for Medjedovic. Some of the tennis he played today was outstanding, strikes the ball so well and seems to have every shot in his game, unlucky to lose in the end.
Agreed. That forward slice and the 1:31 big forehand at 4-2 2nd set was fantastic.
He almost hits the ball in slow motion, and then turns up the firepower. Reminds me of Mecir, aka the Big Cat
Skills close to Kyrgios or Bublik, but mental toughness and hunger. Can't wait to see what he can do on the grass and hardcourt swings as well. Beast
Is it Medvedev and djokovics child?
@@tipotheus.😂😂😂in fact, they have the same last name, it’s just that one has a Russian surname, and the other a Serbian one.
Rune and Alcaraz were all born in 2003 as well but Medjedovic is still left behind
bro rune what is going on.
No forehand consistency.
Same thing that’s been going on with him for a while
It is his mum
Nothigs going on. Hes just being a loser as always lol
Patrick is going on 😂
Muller's forehand was unreal. Now keeping up that level won't be easy
Yes he played fucking good.
Defending like a dog, also very aggressive. He could challenge Rublev on the aggressivity and power, which is very rare!
he'll be unstoppable if he keep that level.
Norrie’s backhand 😂😂😂😂
your autism :|
His bh is on Viagara. 😅
@@DrMic2112underrated comment
a plank of wood has better technique
Actually super good safe technique, I personally think this wide exagerated takeback is one of the safest and most efective historically.
Fantastic match from Baez! Great balance between incredible defense, dropshot, great moves (he is very fast and move like a cat), ... Good to see a definitely very good and smart clay player from south america like we use to have on the tour!
Especially since Schwartzmann is not the player as before, sadly (same feeling for Thiem :( ).
I definitely love the fighting spirit, grinta and clay game of Baez!
thiem retured from tennis, guy. of course he's not the same player as before.
Triunfazo de Tsitsipas 🔥🔥🔥 que nivel del griego en arcilla.
Norrie has one of the weirdest Backhands on the Tour
The forehand also.
Not one of
😂 thought I was the only one who noticed. It’s effective on hard court though.
@@Ay02100 You’re right...very ungainly form, but effective for him.

Medvedev is hilarious, he prefers to check the mark rather than celebrate his win
that is a petty man fr
Just looking for something to moan about, as per usual...
@@pjmmccannhave you just described your life?
@@KRATOS-ix2dm Nice one! No, really, that was *great*. What's next: "I know you are, but what am I?"?
@@pjmmccannMedvedev has every right to be upset, the media and tournaments don’t want him to win because he’s Russian. Obviously the line callers are against him and he was right, that ball was out and it wasn’t called.
Tsitsipas should win Rome this year, so far he played great tennis
It is looking more and more like it will be a final between him and Sascha, in which case Tsitsipas should have the edge
He wont win meddy or rublev
@@iagomello6317 Rublev got beaten, Medvedev is easy win on clay for him
@@anseinueseima408like last year?
@@marchvertochko0056 I agree it was a silly thing to say given last year's result, but still, Stef should be favored in the matchup 9 times out of 10 on clay
When he breaks, Medjedovic looks like a James Bond's villain
Medjedovic played like a hero. World number 102 looking more like world number 12.
This tournament is turning into a bloodbath. 2 of the top 3 don't even play, #1, #6, and #7 go down early to people they should obliterate, Rune and Shelton out early as well, and Meddy just barely survived.
Love to see it.
its just the shitters left or what?
Medvedev often barely survives but ultimately reach the final
Rune and Shelton will be out of Masters early often. Rune is a better player but he is still inconsistent and I dont believe it will change. Shelton doesnt have much beside the US hypetrain behind him
@@andrejchalas6799 Rune and Shelton are still very young. They’re both just 21 years old and have some time to develop.
Rune needs to work on his forehand and his mental game. He has moments of brilliance, but he’s wildly inconsistent on both fronts…
Shelton needs to improve on many aspects of his game. His volleys and returns are shaky at times. As a lefty with a killer serve, he should be a bit more dominant. His overall game needs to improve for him to get to QFs and beyond.
So hard being a Rublev fan. I want him to be happy, win or lose.
you can say that again
0:05 Norries first backhand😂
What an ugly thing that is
Stefanos Tsitsipas is so so good & beautiful. But Stef gets the most difficult draws ever. To get Struff in the 1st round is not easy.
Muller is on fire, just before Roland-Garros 🎉🎉🎉
Keep going man, all the frenchies are behind you ❤❤❤
Wow, that Medvedev-Medjedovic match was lit!!! It was yet another great escape from Medvedev who just doesn't get fazed and keeps working... that, in essence, is the difference between him and Rublev!
Seemed like we'll get to witness a resurgence from Auger-Aliassime but De Minaur proved too strong for him!
Vamoss Sebas! 🇦🇷
I watched most of the Medjedovic vs Medvedev match.
Medjedovic was brave & played very well.
Definitely a fan now!!
Medvedev often wins by being less good than his opponent...
Most stupid comment I have ever heard, played better but lost😂
I like Medjedovic. I haven’t seen him since the Next Gen ATP finals. He impressed me there. He has a great fighting spirit.
He was born in 2003. He was at the same batch with Alcaraz and Rune you know. But, he is very far from them cuz he was disappointing in previous tournaments so he was still out of top 100 whille Alcaraz has tasted no. 1 and Rune in top 10

you dont wanna face sudamerican or spaniard on clay
Absolutely. Hope to see more sudamerican coming to the top class
i cant remember how many Spaniards Thomas Muster (i am from Austria) played during the 90s. it felt like they had 5-10 great clayplayers. then came Kuerten and all the Argentinians. and then there is/was Rafa...
4:30 Even though he won, this move is too funny.😂
Medjedovic play very smart. I had the feeling to see a "cat and mouse game" between the 2 players ahah. Lot of variety in their game, try to play with the surface,... Funny to see. More subtile than Auger-Aliassime or Rublev xD (even i both like them for other reasons).
tsitsipas is looking best so far
Baez is so solid on the clay courts!!!
Where is Hurkacz - Etcheverry match
It was on T2 for free, fyi. Veryetchy took it to Hubi in the first set, but all that redlining drained him & the Pierogi ran away with the 2nd. Much more straightforward than the plethora of R3 upsets we've seen today & yesterday.
@@got2bjosh
Pierogi? Lmao😂😂😂
No one wants to see that bum etcheverry😂
Baez is Shwartzman v2
Same height, same nationality, same playing style.
How has Norrie made it to the top with a backhand like that? 😂
One answer: hard court (and grass). Comparable to Mannarino's weird forehand, he redirects the opponent's pace. That doesn't fly so well on clay.
Another answer: it's actually not as bad as it looks. Let any college player face Norrie and suddenly his backhand will appear god-like.
@@knotwilg3596he is also in great shape, moves well and anticipates
FAA's forehand looks like a great stroke but he almost never flattens it out to really blast winners like most top players can.
That's right there is a lot of spin on his strokes but he could flatten to kill the point more often.
When he does the ball is often out, so he's right
I never liked his technique. The spin gives safety, but it lacks speed. On both sides! He can for sure be top 20 again, maybe top 15 but i doubt he will reach the top.
Baez!!! Always plays until the last ball. What a great effort from the 5'-7" tall Argentine.
Rune...
Tsitsipas - One of the many kings of clay
Kings? There's only one clay king - Rafa Nadal. Everyone knows that
@@alexburakov3109
There WAS only one king of clay. Sadly, he’s only just a mere shadow of his former self.
@@alexburakov3109 hes talking about present i believe. Alcaraz, Tsitsipas, Ruud, Sinner might be the best clay player of the world atm
@@user-sz2ut4od6sthere is only ONE king of clay. That is Nadal. There are no king of grass or hardcourts because they haven't been conquered by anybody more than 8 or 9 times. To be called the king of clay one has to win more Roland Garros and atp1000s on clay, than Nadal. Period. End of story.
@@max7even284
End of story for you. I beg to differ. He WAS the king of clay.
Norrie looks like he is playing with a frying pan...
Yep.
And also walks as if he has one up the a**
Rune has lost it a bit. Too spoiled, too much of an attitude instead of just focussing on his own game. We've seen what troubles he can cause to big names but he must not lose to players he maybe should've won. Anyway, lots of maturing to do, give him 2-3 years and if it's lucky, maybe the remainder of this year where things will "click" for him. And is it just me or is Rune and Baez's FH very similar? Almost exact imo. Also, Felix and Shevchenko's grunts are similar too haha.
Yes. When Rune is B or C mode. Rune got horrible strokes mainly due to his errors. Federer and Paire had similar forehands too imo. 😀and Serena and Rafa the same grunts.
For a minute i read “ medvedev X medvedev” 😂

With the remaining players now, there is a chance Tsitsipas will reach the finals. If you want to beat Tsitsipas it will be very difficult.
Rublev has to have high blood pressure
Haha, could be. Most of the time he looks like he drank 2 liters of coffee.
Baez has the same magical footwork as his fellow countryman Diego Schartzmann, but he has so much more weapons on the court.
Indeed, similarities with Schwartzman, he´s also 1.70m tall (or should we say "short"?). I agree, he has some more variations on his game, and can be very agressive, damaging players that on the paper ar better. Two titles for Baez already this year, one of them an ATP500 deserves respect.
Common point between FAA and Shapovalov ?
They cannot close off matches. Mental issue on both sides
Medjedovic (#121), a protege of Djokovic, acquitted himself extremely well with virtually no experience at this level.
Yes, he was very good. Seeing him for the first time. He looks very healthy as compared to Dani.
medjedovic, what a charisma
It's so hard being Holger fan...
Rune’s skill, variety to me is topnotch. It’s the mental aspect he’s lacking. He’s easily distracted loses his focus after a string of errors. Hope he can find the same maturity that Alacaraz and Sinner is showing.
Baez is a big man on clay.
omg medjedovic is crazy good !! when he'll dial in he's going to be top 10 !!
Gran triunfo del Duende Baez ante ``la cachabacha´´Ruune
I don't understand why you @TennisTV keep showing the same matches in these day highlight as the ones you uploaded as separate videos before. The only new match highlights were Baez vs Rune. Why not put the top seeds in the day highlights video and make separate videos of the other matches. This is just a waste of time ...
Really visible here what makes top players top players - they have the mental edge and get the wins even though they are not necessariliy playing better or are more 'talented' - if you-d seen the players without knowing who they are, would you say medvedev is the better player or Medjedovic? Based on this match certainly Medjedovic i guess 100%. Same goes for AAA vs de Minaur. Thats what I find most incredible about these top players, but also most notable on any level in tennis - the mentally stronger and less error prone player most often always wins.
BAEZ IN THE LEVEL🫡🥇🎾⚡
Is it me or medjedovic would look great as a James Bond vilain ?
Yes😂
I was actually thinking he looks like Daniel Craig from certain angle!
I think Rune should play the cat and mouse strategy (ie : drops and lobs) instead of hitting the baseline strokes that Baez is very strong at. Rune is good with soft touches. Well, just a personal opinion. Rune's coach should know better.
Tsitsipas with and without Badosa are not the same person!!

@@user-iw8xj9wc7o Medvedev beat him in the semis last year. What makes you think it can't happen again?
Medjedovic Is a new interesting tennis player
So much for Rublev learning to keep his cool. 😏
Seems like there were a lot of bad bounces, especially on the side closest the camera. But goes both ways.
An Olympic year held on the dirt has made this '24 clay court swing the MOST interesting we've seen in many YEARS. Upsets galore at every tournament with a complete shakeup of the status quo in favor younger players. Love to see it.
too good
Rublev seemed more agitated in Rome than Madrid. Any reasons?
Finally Meddy learn to play on clay
Baez is the the new El Peque of tennis (formerly Schwartzman)
It was Medvedev against his mirror with slice
Slice on both wings. Great to see! Won Next Gen - looking forward to see how he progresses.
Medjedovic is really fun to watch. Love the variety on the backhand with the slices and dropshots. Hope to see a lot more of him in future.
rune changed his pants mid match hoping for a better luck. lol
Rune lost to Rune. Serious how can you play so good in the first set, and then fall so much down? Damn.
For the sake of future tennis, Rune must find a person who can make him mentally solid, because in talent he is second to none. It's sad to see him lose matches in which he is in a different category than his opponent, he had a clear path to win this tournament.
Baez is very tough on clay and can beat virtually anyone on it. He makes you work like Rupaul.
@@thehawk5967Baez is terrible. He lost very early in all 1000 Masters lately. He will lose to Hurkacz next 😅

Why are there so few spectators watching this tournament?
Баэс очень хорошо играет на грунте
I thought Rublev outburst was a thing of the past after controlling himself at the last tour.
Tsitsipas 6-2 7-6 Norrie
Medvedev 7-6 2-6 7-5 Medjedovic
De Minaur 6-7 6-4 6-4 Auger-Aliassime
Muller 3-6 6-3 6-2 Rublev
Baez 2-6 6-2 6-3 Rune
Muller plays like a much more passive Holger Rune
I am going with Muller , great strokes
Norries Awkward backhand swing wahahahahahaha. Just like Kefelnikovs backhand
Medjedovic is a hybrid between Medvedev & Djokovic
After Felix double-faulted at 4/4 and 30/40 in the third set, I wondered who was better at losing a match, him or Shapovalov?
8:23
Weird that these highlights showed almost none of Baez's winning points, other than stupid errors from Rune, even though he won the match.
If Norrie had a normal two-handed backhand--He would've been a grand slam champion by now! It was his early coach who didn't correct that ridiculous backswing of his which will always keeping from progressing to the very top.
4:57 point of the day?
Gioco, partita incontro.
BEEEZ
Rune’s forehand is so bad
Norrie managed to win 8 games (vs Tsitsipas' 13) yet you only show one of his points?
medjedovic playing incredible ngl
Two bears on the court😂- Medvedev and Medjedovic
Tsitsipas looking more dangerous than ever... all this after he broke up with his gf. Seems having a positive impact on his game.
Medjedovic looks totally like a young Anton Kreil, that finance guy from "Million Dollar Traders"
Rune needs a consistent team for longer plus he needs to stop with these big promisis, oh i feel well, now i can win French open in 4 weeks. Then beating himself vs Baez in round 3 of Rome. Goffin n his current stage of his career would even have stood a chance. Don´t know if he needs time off tour. Then come back. Lets see if he can surprise in French Open. I hope bc along with few others he got this intensity, talent for insane hitting mixed with skill. Like Carlos to some extent.
Medjedovic watch out for him in Wimberton if he is fit not to play to many drop shoots can upset any one big server and big forehand hard to Handel in grass he be in top 20 soon good player has to controll is drop shot 😮😮😮😮
I’m sure this actually wasn’t the case but I could hear Norrie say ‘shit’ during points 😂
I heard it too.
Indeed!

When Medvedev had a child with Djokovic, we have Medjedovic.
Rune and Rublev mental issues strike again,it gets more and more clear that today Sinner and Alcaraz are miles and miles ahead of the others, the next Federer and Nadal of the future and maybe Rune on the side as the next Djokovic since he also have serious issues just like Djokovic back at the start of his career, all and all with not even half of the big 3 achivements of course.
With all those great highlights, the craziest thing for me, was that Felix hits a drop shot from WELL behind the baseline, and Alex, also known as "the human greyhound", doesnt even run for it. I'm just lime... what the fuck just happened here ?!?
Always a joy to watch Rune lose
