One of first games I ever had, that combo game with Lego Batman on one side and Pure on the other. Little 9 year old Will struggled with Pure and never got into it, but Lego Batman was one of my first 1000G games
I loved this game. Played it a lot back in the day. Pure nostalgia watching this video. Got every achievement for it. It was challenging but not impossible. Had a lot of fun.
I wasn't a fan of how 360 did custom soundtracks. They just play your music over the game music so you have 2 music tracks going on at the same time. Or, you have to tell the game music to go away. OG Box got it right, though.
I feel like my memories of all these old games just have the bloom removed …. Like I am always surprised to see how much bloom there is in all these 360 games
No way I've just been playing this! My friends used to talk about how great it was when it came out so it's been on my to-play list for years. Finally got around to playing it last month. Loved it! I'm trying to get all the achievements but I'm not quite there yet.
Pure felt like a continuation of all the previous eras extreme sports games. Nowadays the only people making extreme sports games are tiny indie studios.
Really fascinated when Disney tried to enter the arcadey racing genre with the likes of Pure and Split/Second. Kinda hard to believe the gigantic animation studio once really tried to enter the industry with Disney Infinity and Spectrobes.
This was the last 360 game i got before it got the red ring my dad and I always played offroad vehicle games together and this was like the only ATV game they dropped on 360 at the time and we loved it. This game has crazy jumps!
There was a time when Disney was also into game publishing, before they threw it all away to chase the mobile trend. What else do you expect from a movie studio with a history of poor treatment of their workers since Walt’s foundation? 🤷♂️ Still, I miss this era of Disney Interactive, they wanted to experiment with original releases instead of licensing their characters. And we had a ton of interesting games out of that era: Pure, Split/Second, Spectrobes, and the like.
I played the demo for this at my friend's house back in the day and loved it! But then I forgot to buy the full game, I really wish it was in the backwards compatible collection.
I still remember I have this for PS3 and the first time buying a flat screen HD TV, I hooked it up to the PS3 with HDMI and the visuals was just stunning. My first time seeing HDMI and 720p on a flat screen LCD, my mind was blown. Looks like shit now, but back then we have different standards.
They just don't get how amazing this looked back then. Its because they've never experienced a significant jump between consoles like we did between PS1 then PS2 then PS3. It's not a significant jump between PS4 and PS5 so it's not as impressive to them.
Crackdown has more replayability. I had a lot of fun hanging out in that world with friends. It was a sandbox game where you had super powers. You could surf on the back of cars while they drove around the island and your friend would be able to keep up with you. You could car surf during the GTA 3 era of games, but not with IV onwards. Blowing stuff up would be fun because the explosions in crackdown look great. And you could choose to target the tires of passing by vehicles which would cash them to spin out or flip over, while the car you are on top of keeps driving around.
I used to have an ATV game on 360 called Nail'd. It was like this but lower budget, but you could also use Dirt Bikes. Also Slipknot was on the soundtrack
Great coverage. I remember choosing between this game and Fuel. Fuel was a terrible game, but I'm glad I picked it because of the obnoxious amount of content to explore without caring about the racing. Pure looks fun, but I probably wouldn't have stuck with it for as long once the initial novelty wore off.
@campxbox It's a terrible racing game, but a fantastic tech demo. I will never sell it. The late great Seamus Young did a video discussing why it's so impressive a long way back. If it Interests you, I'd definitely recommend watching "Reset Button: The biggest game ever".
UA-cam ate my previous reply, but I would recommend Fuel as an interesting tech demo. The late great Seamus Young did a video discussing it called "Reset Button: The biggest game ever"
Ah, 2007...when Black Rock could be involved with a game and there was no controversy. 😆 Seriously though, I hate that this was delisted from Steam before I could nab it for PC. It has always looked fun to me which is why I wanted to check out the vid. I've had Split Second on my wishlist forever and didn't realize they were linked so I'll plan on picking that up next time it goes on sale and I guess will have to resort to other methods for Pure since they won't let me pay them lol
If they could make a Pure to with the rockstars euphoria engine so you could do flares and side rolls I would put my first and last months rent on it being the best game of the year( if it were to come out.)
This looks damn near the same game as motocross madness for the 360 , this is crazy It's definitely the same engine, the main menu has the same options for y- garage. Idk bro let me know if I'm right
Motocross Madness is sweet! I like the games where you could play as your Xbox avatar and I had mine dressed specifically for this game.... with the Pinball Wizard costume from Pinball FX2 and the Halloween Skeleton face to make my dude look like a Ghost Rider in Motocross Madness! The game had fire tires. You know. You get it.
I have the two pack with Lego Batman, but I never played this game in my life (obviously I was busy playing the better game)! I have wondered what this game is like though
I have WAY too many Xbox 360 games. Like 500. I would love to get rid of most of them, but I haven't even played them all. Example: Pure. Never played it. Should I keep it or toss it? Let's see what Camp Xbox thinks... Nice! That 2 in 1 with Lego Batman is actually the same one that I have.
what you mean holds up ??? wtf holds up words are everywhere in youtube.....its like masterpieces are coming every year.. and the old games are bad now..for 15 years, we had only one game close to masterpiece red dead redemption 2, and that's it.for for 15 years we had slope woke propaganda and bad games.so please stop with the holds up if a game is good it's good all the time.
This game and Army Of Two were the sole reasons why I finally upgraded from a ps2 to a 360 back then 🥹🥹 I wanted both games so bad that I rented them from blockbuster to play on my friend’s 360
Great video. Getting this and Lego Batman with the 360 Elite is Pure nostalgia
One of first games I ever had, that combo game with Lego Batman on one side and Pure on the other. Little 9 year old Will struggled with Pure and never got into it, but Lego Batman was one of my first 1000G games
If you put a stack of 360 games in the closet and don't look at it for at least 4 months, a copy of Pure/Lego Batman will materialize.
I loved this game. Played it a lot back in the day. Pure nostalgia watching this video. Got every achievement for it. It was challenging but not impossible. Had a lot of fun.
A hidden gem. Split second even moreso, such a shame we didn't get a sequel
Man...i was locked in with this game! Especially with my 360 custom sountrack in the bachground....bliss. better times man....better times.
I wasn't a fan of how 360 did custom soundtracks. They just play your music over the game music so you have 2 music tracks going on at the same time. Or, you have to tell the game music to go away.

Pure felt like a continuation of all the previous eras extreme sports games. Nowadays the only people making extreme sports games are tiny indie studios.
I remember when this game came out. I couldn't believe how good the graphics were
Pure was my absolute most favorite quad dirt bike games ever when I was a kid. Would love to find a physical copy of this some day.
You can have my copy. You just have to come to my house to pick it up.
I still have my physical disc of pure.😂😂😂
I gotta get one from ebay man I never got to experience this
I still got mine too. I got 115 360 games.
Still got my og disc but it don’t work so I got another copy about a year ago, this game is awesome.
Me too. Will never sell.
Same.
Really fascinated when Disney tried to enter the arcadey racing genre with the likes of Pure and Split/Second. Kinda hard to believe the gigantic animation studio once really tried to enter the industry with Disney Infinity and Spectrobes.
Same studio that made the masterpiece split second
Such a great racer!
Split Second man....Still amazing to play to this day!
Wish it got backwards compatibility with a framerate and res boost
This was the last 360 game i got before it got the red ring my dad and I always played offroad vehicle games together and this was like the only ATV game they dropped on 360 at the time and we loved it. This game has crazy jumps!
I wish that pure get a sequel
Picking up a 360 this coming Saturday and this is one of the 33 games included! It looks like a good time
Cheers bud!
Your reviews are so Pure 😂😂
Didn't expect this title for review! Undoubtedly the best bike racing game I ever played.
This is a sequel to ATV Quad Power Racing 2 in my eyes.
12:31 Pure and splitscreen? 😅 Great video overall. I played this on PS3 at the time, scratched that MotorStorm itch for me.
Doh! Can't believe I didn't catch that lol! Definitely has that Motorstorm feel.
Fun Fact: You can play this on Series X if you have the physical disc!
I just 100%'d this last year! Such a good game. Just started playing Nail'd.
There was a time when Disney was also into game publishing, before they threw it all away to chase the mobile trend.
What else do you expect from a movie studio with a history of poor treatment of their workers since Walt’s foundation? 🤷♂️

The disc is backwards compatible with One and Series X.
I wasn't a racing game fan but pure, fuel, mx vs atv and nail'd were all super fun.

Loved the soundtrack on this game too!
pure was absolutely awesome
LOVED this game when I was a kid
YES! an all time game for me

Crackdown was ok... never tried it multi player.
I used to have an ATV game on 360 called Nail'd. It was like this but lower budget, but you could also use Dirt Bikes.
Also Slipknot was on the soundtrack
Never played it but you piqued my interest.
@@campxbox Naild was dope. it's like an ATV verison of Burnout and Flatout, such an underrated game.
This game was pure fun !
Puns are fun!!
You must of read my mind! My wife just got me a copy of PURE for Christmas, I'd love to team up for multi-player if possible!?
I played the demo for this a lot as a kid!
I still need to try Fuel. It sounds interesting at least.
@campxbox It's a terrible racing game, but a fantastic tech demo. I will never sell it.

I got both games, but I'm not the biggest racing game fan and have too many 360 games as it is. Never played either one.
UA-cam ate my previous reply, but I would recommend Fuel as an interesting tech demo.

@Quimbyrbg Actually, youtube didn't delete it as I can still see it.
Ah, 2007...when Black Rock could be involved with a game and there was no controversy. 😆

One game... FUEL!
Need to try that one out!
Anyone know how well this runs on Xenia?
Remember this being a common in the bargain bin at my old job
If they could make a Pure to with the rockstars euphoria engine so you could do flares and side rolls I would put my first and last months rent on it being the best game of the year( if it were to come out.)
Great if you want to play alone I love it.
I'll say "yes."
Split Second was another good one released by Disney, I think there was a few of those.
Split/Second never had a sequel.
That was a great Game !
This looks damn near the same game as motocross madness for the 360 , this is crazy
It's definitely the same engine, the main menu has the same options for y- garage. Idk bro let me know if I'm right
You might be right! I'll have to check out Motocross Madness.
Motocross Madness is sweet! @campxbox Just so you know, Motocross Madness was delisted on the Xbox 360.
@ Thanks for the heads up! I think I might own it luckily.
Game easily holds up I still play it
I remember playing this! I used to call it pure shit! But it's really Fun game lol
The answer is yes. The game is almost perfect.
I have the two pack with Lego Batman, but I never played this game in my life (obviously I was busy playing the better game)! I have wondered what this game is like though
I'm the same. Played the crap out of Lego Batman, never touched Pure.
Yep, played this to death at the time, great game
Pure when Tainted walks in
*reads title* Fk yeah it does
Only thing you forgot to mention is that the different characters all have their own unique special tricks. The Japanese guy is the best
5:34 Oh, he ded. Like, so ded.
😂
I did not like the quads handled. Something very off about it.
visuals look like it has a piss filter on them
what you mean holds up ??? wtf holds up words are everywhere in youtube.....its like masterpieces are coming every year.. and the old games are bad now..for 15 years, we had only one game close to masterpiece red dead redemption 2, and that's it.for
for 15 years we had slope woke propaganda and bad games.so please stop with the holds up if a game is good it's good all the time.
Woke propaganda 😅
Oh it must be such a tough life for you. How do you manage homie? Lol
It has no multiplayer unfortunatly so i would not recomment this game
Incorrect. PURE does have multiplayer. The online isn't populated, though.
I just got the pure an Lego batman bundle on the 360 today an I just seen this vid what are the odds
Perfect Timing!
This game and Army Of Two were the sole reasons why I finally upgraded from a ps2 to a 360 back then 🥹🥹 I wanted both games so bad that I rented them from blockbuster to play on my friend’s 360
