Great work on your catches here! The pouring of support on-and-off the train was impressive. I haven’t seen this many people chase the Summerville train, probably ever. Keep it up!
Great video! Was definitely fun out chasing those, I think quite nearly every railfan within 2-3 hours of Chattanooga was out chasing them on that day, lol. Also I see myself at 22:27, lol.
Lovely video of a much anticipated day. It truly was lovely to see how happy so many people were, from the return to Summerville, to the double header, and the whitewalls on 630. I especially enjoyed your video showing the consist and the drumhead trailing on the rear, this seems to have been overlooked in many videos. Thank you for sharing.
That's actually a Virginia & Southwestern 3-chime, if I remember correctly. I'm pretty sure #4501's original whistle is a Princeton 3-chime, which is much higher-pitched.
Awesome video! It’s always nice to see the Summerville Special running! The only thing I didn’t like was 4501’s whistle. Personally, I don’t really think the V&SW 3 chime suits it that well. Then again, that’s just my opinion.
I like the sound of the V&SW On 4501. Gives her a strong Southern vibe. True 630 sounds better with it, it's nice to see the whistles getting swapped for a change. The CofG 6 certainly sounds awkward on 630 after it's long absence
Seeing as 630 last wore the Central of Georgia 6 chime in 2019, which was only 4 years ago, I surely thought it would’ve had something different like either the N&W J class whistle, B&M 6 chime, IC Steamboat whistle, L&N 6 chime, or even the Crosby 3 chime. Oh well, beggars can’t be choosers.
❤THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I LOVE TRAINS THE MOST ❤
Fantastic Shots what if 630 and 4501 run the Southern Main Lines.
Thanks! And, unlikely as of now, but never say never.

Thanks! And, oh, for sure! If it was sunny, it would've been even more of a foamfest than it was. lol

17:07 SOU #4501's Ex-V&SW 3 chime.
