Yeah one of my favorite producers , man a top 5 idk the exact order but it would be Ant Banks, Khayree, Cold 187 from Above The Law (the real originator of G Funk), and DJ Quik. Honorable mentions: Dr.Dre (yeah he jacked a lot of people stuff along the way and had uncredited ghost co-producers, but people act he ain't brought nothing to the table, it seems mixing a album is his real talent) Jt the Bigga Figga (yeah people say he recycled a lot and so fourth, but I'd say in his prime as producer he delivered a lot of fire beats, with a distinct funky frisco sound, did work for himself, San Quinn albums on Get Low, the GLP releases, on all 3 west coast Bad Boyz compilations, Lil Ric album on No Limit, Master p- Ghetto Tryin to Kill me, Steady mobb'n first album on No Limit, Rappin 4 Tay dont fight the feeling album, many soundtracks and compilations) Rythmn D (underrated work with Paperboy, Snoop Dogg, C BO, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Flesh N Bone solo works, BG Knocc Out & Dresta, Mc Ren, etc) Mike Mosely (doesnt get enough props, he went hard on E 40 in a Major way, worked on 2 pac All Eyez on me, some projects with Mac Dre, worked on C Boin his peak years such as Best of C BO, The Autopsy EP, the classic Tales from the crypt, the near classic Till my Casket Drops, etc. Worked on B Legit classic Hemp Musuem, The clock classic Game related, Celly Cel first full album Heat 4 Yo Azz, etc. seriously brought that fire, and had that Mobb music down to a science) The RZA (yeah he not underground or west coast, but his skills on the first 3 Wu albums, his skills on the first round of wu albums from 94 to 96, his work on Ghostface Killah second album really was somthing original and didnt sound the same as most East coast production around the time, adding the king fu stuff, the instrumentals, and the way he would change up beats was dope at the time from 93 to 97 he was killing it, he kinda lost me with that Bobby digital stuff and the later stuff with the second and third round of wu solos)
Spice 1 had some Gold and Plats yet didnt get his props as a legend, his first five albums were fire and he always shined on the soundtracks and guest apperances.
Yeah maybe others know, but i don't get why he left Sic wid it , those first three albums all knocked, the one he did independently was good bit I felt on some songs the beats was lacking.
Classic Ant Banks beats.
Ant Banks should be in the top five best producers in the West Coast bracket.
So many stole his style

@@jamesthegr8732 jt might have recycled but it also helped generate his own sound. Same goes for Sean-t, g-man Stan, and TC.
Spice is a true BOSS
Everyone’s underrated. Rest in peace Gangsta P
How did Gangsta P die? He wasnt the one rapping that he test positive on the sing was he?
This song super slapz and this compilation is hella underrated
The beat smells so much ANT BANKS " The Bay Area "...them beats were so easy to recognize back then...
Spice 1 had some Gold and Plats yet didnt get his props as a legend, his first five albums were fire and he always shined on the soundtracks and guest apperances.
Nepotism in the rap game. You had to be brothers, cousins or nephews to get put on back in the day
Celly Cell is so damn underrated
Yeah maybe others know, but i don't get why he left Sic wid it , those first three albums all knocked, the one he did independently was good bit I felt on some songs the beats was lacking.
