Good Job.!!! I love your Garden. I wish more people whom are blessed with land to grow fresh food for people to buy . This will have people to help you as you help them with fresh food . Peppers are one of the foods that is good for our bodies. God Bless you. Very smart.
Great job. So envious of your garden. Those orange habaneros. Are wicked hot. Use sparingly! 👍 couple thin slices in a skillet of taters and onions is quite awesome
A friend gave me 2 pepper plants, not bell peppers. After watching your video I think maybe they are marconi, but will have to wait and see. I thank you for showing all the different varieties.
I'm here to learn the name of peppers I just picked a few at the next door garden they ask me to pick some vegetables for the daycare and a few tomatoes...I love it so I will be growing different type of peppers next year if I live to see next year.
I’m in the panhandle of Florida and have jalapeños, bells, bananas, Serranos and cayennes, this year. The bells have done ok. I got a few big ones but mostly small. The jalapeños have done great. The Serranos have done well. The bananas have done ok, and I’ve had difficulty getting the cayennes to germinate. The ones I have growing are producing well. I’ve not grown any super hot peppers like the ghost or reapers. I might try habanero next year but only to give away. I’ll never grow reapers or ghost unless someone wants those. They’re deadly.
Why do jalapeno peppers have cracks? the heat is bursting out at the seams. where do you order your pepper seeds from? I've had the same experience with bell peppers doing poorly in the ground.
My favorite places are Twilley, Johnny's and Morgan Co. Seeds. The only thing I know is that the ones that crack are the hottest ones. I have no idea why it happens. I've never heard a scientific explanation that worked for me, but someone probably has one out there. I have already bought a few pepper seeds this winter from Morgan Co. Seeds. I'm about to start pouring over the seed catalogs and seeing what else I might come up with. Growing peppers is so interesting to me but I have to be careful not to go overboard! Thanks for watching and commenting. Hope you have a good day. ~Janette
Thanks for your reply. I'll check out Twilley and Morgan Co. Perhaps peppers are like people: the cracked appearance may be simply a genetic feature, like freckles and red hair. Likewise, those features make them more spicy!!
We call that "corking" . Yes, think of it like stretch marks. There's been no scientific evidence that they are any hotter though. Certain strains of jalapeno and jalapeno types (there are dozens, maybe hundreds) are hotter than others though. If you grow a TAM versus a Zapotec you'll taste the heat difference immediately. I like corking because it's unique and here in the states it's not very sought after so I can get them easily in my grocery store. I like the slight woodsy taste and feel. You want to see crazy corking? Google the "Veznena Piperka"! It's unreal!
I didn't think the giant marconis were really sweet, just mild, the red marconis were sweet but not apple sweet I didn't think. If you want a pepper that is apple sweet get Jimmy Nardello but they need to be fully ripe and cut the membranes out that the seeds grow to.
I'll have to try the Jimmy nardello pepper, if i can find the seeds. I thought the Marconis were sweet, but the sweeter than apple came from the seed catalog. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
@@TheNealsHomestead I got my Jimmy Nardello seeds from Baker Creek Seeds at www.rareseeds.com , they have free shipping right now. Do you know what pepper variety to grow to produce paprika powder like we get in the grocery stores? Thanks
I am very addicted to growing peppers!! Last year I had 19 varieties!! Thanks for the video! I’m going to check out your other continent😊

I've never grown paprika peppers, so i can't help you. Thanks for the tip.
I agree
VERY NICE
5:10, is this not Tabasco. Are they full of liquid?
I bought them from a respected seed company and they are labeled Ornamental Thai peppers.
@@TheNealsHomestead are they full of fluid?
This video was two years ago. They weren't full of fluid, just had seeds in there
Good
Someone stole my cherry bong, 😒 darn stoners.
😂🌱
Can. I get a call out
I be bell peppers.
IMHO those are not thai, they are Tabasco peppers, they only one that grows up.. looks like a x-mas tree...lol
