Currently, I carry three: Venom Shock, Hammer Offset 3D Attack, and a Motiv Thrill Hybrid (resurfaced to 4000) which doubles as a spare ball. I don't need a heavy oil ball because I can't recall the last time I saw heavy oil. I don't like carrying around a bunch of bowling balls so I prefer to change my release instead.
So, the lesson I learned with the Rally and what I am expecting out of the GT is this ball will be a short sport shot ball or what to go to when I'm in an 8-game block for the last two or three games when the heads are blown. I actually gave away my Supera Rally because it never "hooked up" on the fresh (never liked the look). As to what I take to league, I take 3 balls to a tournament I take 9 to practice but may only use 6 for tournament day. I'm not big on surface adjustments so I change balls based on their surface because I lay my balls out for a specific shape, and I let the covers and cores do the work.

Definitely looks like it's still tumbling downlane when in most of your shots, that inch to half inch difference in your pin to pap for the layout would definitely make the difference in reaction off the spot for you
Oh 100%agree with on, this is why I will not be taking this ball to a lot of places 5in and over pearl ball for me is no bueno
So glad you did this review because I just got the Black Venom and am looking for a step down ball. To answer your question on how many balls do I bring to league/tournaments.....since I really only bowl league I bring 3 but I don't carry a spare ball. Being lefty I could really only bring one ball. True or false / True if a ball looks good it rolls good! Another helpful ball review. Thanks.

Hey just responding to what you would bring to leagues and tourneys. No spare balls and usually two three to the most in league two of one like solid. And one peral. Or then in a tourny like three or so of say like a peral and one solid or possibly then like two solids and maybe like the three pearls. Thanks for asking. By the way way more practice!
If it works out to be looking good with practice then yes make it to the tournament to look good too then please it would be great!
How would you compare this to the Motiv Supra Rally?
For me the rally is a lot cleaner and much faster down lane
