Greetings, Tim. Oooh, I really like the drone footage! That was great. Lovely ride, Thanks, Tim.
Glad you enjoyed it
Take care of yourself Tim and thanks for sharing with us all.
Thanks Robert. I'll be back soon hopefully 👍
I can identify with the irregular heartbeat, Tim. I have had an A-Flutter ablation and still have A-Fib. They placed a Watchman in my heart to help prevent blood clots. But I got a blood clot on the device! I currently take Metoprolol as my beta blocker... My heart rate rarely rises above the 90s while out riding my Trike during the summer heat.
It was a wise health decision to stay out of the mountains and care for your heart.
Keep on Triking!
Funny thing is I can ride all day without any concerns. It seems to only be when I stop that the heart rate stays elevated and becomes a concern.
Good decision. I look forward to seeing your videos. Stay safe and enjoy yourself!
Thanks, will do!
Hi Tim, court up with your video's after a 14 day cruise. As always there really enjoyable to watch. especially attacking the mountains.
Oooo... I hope the cruise was nice.
@@TimsTrikeTrips It was until I got a blood clot in my left leg whilst going on a whale site seeing trip. On blood thinners now. You never know what's around the corner. stay safe Tim.
@@paul-hill oh my goodness! Sorry to hear that Paul. I hope you're on the mend (all mended) now.
Ya do what ya gotta do! It's 107F here with 40% humidity...that's brutal. 🥵 Dr Who theme, witty. 😊 Yes, take care of yourself! 👍
Thank you! You too!
Yes, listen to your body. Stay safe Tim. Super vlog again.
Thank you, I will
Road along with you on my trike today. I need the exercise and your video was perfect. Thanks.
That's nice to know. Thank you for sharing 👍😃
When I saw the title I wanted to hold off on watching this one 😉 no totally understandable to turn back under those conditions.. it's one of the reasons I haven't ridden my bike here in Taiwan as much 🥵🥵 look forward to seeing more of france!
It's the same in Morocco. It'll be Autumn before I'm riding any distances again. Cheers buddy 👍
Health is most important, and the trip is to enjoy yourself an nothing else, good decision Tim!
Well I'm feeling better now I've stopped so all is 👍
Wise decision Tim, when you have a video cycle past have you ever forgotten where you placed the camera.
Hopefully you will get cooler air once you reach the sea.
Forgotten? no. But I often get worried when other people suddenly appear and I'm riding away from my expensive equipment and they're approaching it.
🙃🙃11:46 you were 'Upstaged' by that Bee .. Trinny Shook me!! Be Safe!! 🙃🙃 Ps; that super glue still holding my Hafny mirror solid..
Gotta love those mirrors 😉👍
The bee just had to get in on the action. He wasn't there when I placed the camera.
I was going to email a spiel about your heart rate and keeping cool, but you probably know already, anyway, good decision, it's your trip to enjoy. I don't know how high the route goes, but less O2 higher up, would make it worse, glad you enjoyed your fish supper.
Thanks Gaz. It's a shame but I also feel that I made the right choice. The weather has remained very hot since.
Thanks again for the nice video Tim.
I loved the music.
I know it ain't easy climbing hills (I also don't like riding uphill), but aren't temperatures lower when you go higher in the mountains?
Any chance going to Italy later on?
But most important keep it safe and healthy.
See you in the next one.
I think I'd have to go much much higher to see any real drop in the temperature. I think Italy is out for now.
Count you use tanks tires Dean 21:31
Tim, aren't temperatures going to get hotter the closer you get to the Mediterranean coast and the further south you go? Another poster mentioned altitude and O2 content, so that's certainly a factor as well. Like Clint Eastwood said, " a man's got to know his limitations." I was concerned about the exertion you put out with the climbing, but it seems the work you put in on the flatter ground of the Netherlands, Germany, and France prior to that point prepared your legs for it. Dealing with the heat and its effects on your heart is another matter altogether.
😁 🌞
Heading south was a decision I made way back when I was still getting drowned almost daily. With hindsight it probably wasn't the best idea but I had very few choices at that time. It's very hot all across southern Europe now anyway so probably would have baked no matter where I went.
Have you ever thought of getting a canopy top for the trike? I imagine the hotel fare was related to location. Do you need to reserve a spot at these campgrounds?
Yes, a canopy has been mentioned before. I have a couple of ideas for my next tour... 😉👍 You can call and book a camping spot but it's something I have never done. I think most campsites are sympathetic to cyclists and can find you a small space even when they're busy.
