Yo thanks for this one man! I am an intern right now and am trying to get up to speed with AWS. You explained API Gateways very well and I loved the live example with your application that you did. I know you're a small channel right now but if you keep posting videos like these you're gonna be huge.
Thanks! This video helpt me a lot to understand what the AWS API Gateway actually is! I am new to AWS, and I was searching for tutorials to explain this in a simple way. Although I have built some personal APIs and I know how they work, watching some of the tutorials out there made me question everything and felt lost. The best part of the entirety of this video were these words "connecting your backend to the frontend". It made me realise that it is pretty much like any other API but with some advanced features.
Hey I love your videos but sometimes the background music is way too loud. Maybe consider lowering its volume or not using any at all? Keep up the great work!!!
I was literally looking for a video like this online and trying to find articles but this youtube video answered the question I had regarding How AWS gateway and web applications work together. Thank you sir! But I'm still trying to understand the Why? Why use gateway and lambda when I could just spin up a node.js server using express and handle the POST call directly on app.js? Is gateway doing anything different than the scenario I just outlined? Having a hard time wrapping my head around using gateway as a middleman when it's just one more middleware to handle...
API Gateway + Lambda is serverless, you only pay for what you use. Running and express server like you're imagining would require you to deploy on an ec2 and pay for the compute all the time. ... you can also use express.js in lambda but it won't be reachable from the web w/o API Gateway or Lambda Function URLs
Hi Wai, Have you considered using AWS Amplify to deploy your app? If you go that route, APIGW integration is very straightforward. You will likely save a lot on you AWS bill as well.
I love the subscribe animation you have at the end of your videos. The zooming out. Really smooth.
Glad you like them!
Amazing Explanation, Thanks a lot 👍👍👍

Glad it helped! Yep, once you get the hang of it, it's not too complicated.
Keep rocking on your learning journey!
This is exactly what I needed, thanks!
Glad to hear it!

I'm so glad you like them! Yeah, I've received that a lot and all the later videos don't have bg music.
hi, thank you and what about Api-Gateway for kubernetes api services?
Great content. Thank you.

@@dylanalbertazzi Thanks!
Hi, if I have a frontend react app deployed on EC2, how can I connect it to API Gateway?

Hi, how can you link this into Amazon connect?
where did you import this API module?
It's part of the Amplify library
you could omit the music, it's anoying.
Thanks for the feedback. I've started leaving out the music in later videos.
@@dylanalbertazzi I don't mind the music for the record.
