I just bought a 20-2 today. I owned a similar product for a different trimmer years ago. They're great. You don't have to push the line through the head when first installing the line. When it is time to put new line in or one breaks, the new piece will push the old piece out. You get more line this way.
Kudos 💪🏻💪🏻 for the video Jeff! Have both an FS 560 and FS 240 (non R). Switched to an Echo SpeedFeed 450 for the 240 (same for an old Shindaiwa B450). However, still undecided on the DuroCut 40-4 for the 560 after many negative reviews on its durability/reliability. Thanks for the thoughts/recommendations!
I have this on the fs460 and the 560. It is best to carry a small pair of pliers with you, sometimes the wire can get stuck in the head and when you're a few hundred meters away from the truck that's a real pain. Very tough heads, where I live its stoney and these things last longer than anything I've used before.
thank you so much for this . i just bought this and had no idea how it actually worked . By the way the instructionsbook did not help . And i did not know to soak the trimmers in water✅🎈🏡
Why do you soak the line in water? i just got my fs91, got the duro 20-2 and was beyond impressed, but i also tore through it the line about 4 times, but i also hit a couple of rocks and probably knocked a few bigger things i shouldn't have. going to go buy some more, but wasn't sure about the soaking. thanks!
I always soak trimmer line once a month for 24-48 hours. I swear by it! The line can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water which helps it stay pliable enough to absorb impacts better and last a little longer. It also helps prevent welding in the spool. Never store your line in direct sunlight. Hope that helps! 👍👌
hey the thrust washer is not to be installed with mowing heads also looks like you are using the 2.6 inch thrust plate the 2.4 inch one is for mowing heads. i had to look at my owners manual page 24-25 to make sure. i love my 560 its a beast!
Thank you very much for pointing that out! Completely slipped my mind that it wasn’t supposed to be there. I had a blade on it a while back and must have put that washer back on without thinking. 👍👌
Looking forward to the update. I have the same brush cutter and have been using it mostly for cutting saplings and clearing trails. I found the renegade hybrid blades to be the most convenient so far. I installed an auto feed this week and am about to buy more line. Will your .140 line you're running work in the auto feed head that you have?
also imho i think its easier to use without the deflector installed less weight too i put spare screws in the deflector mounting holes to keep threads clean
im just a small guy who weedeats on his spare time and really thinking about picking up a 560.. Would you recommend it for someone that clears alot of trails and works on maintaining four-wheeler trails, i also take care of 3 national parks where some stuff gets huge? Thanks for the video! I will be cutting a lot saplings and horse weeds and other odds and ends? Thanks again!
The 560 would be a perfect machine for what you are wanting to do. Tons of power! It’s a night and day step up from the 131. Comes with a saw blade from the factor and the Durocut head runs about $50-60 for it.
@@FectoReviews It would be awesome if i could find one, none of the stihl warehouses have any at the moment. Think i want and will give it a try if i can find one. Does it come with the harness and how bad is the strain from it? I will be working in very mountainous terrain. Thank you so much for your reply. Hope to find one.
Tyler Pennington! Anytime! If you’re on hilly uneven terrain, I would recommend spending the money on the XTree harness from STIHL for it. It gives super solid stability and balances the weight on your shoulders. It does come with a harness, but you may end up getting fatigued on the right side using the one that comes with it. My harness is a model up from the one it comes with and it works well for me. The XTree harness is probably your most comfortable/supportive bet though.

That looks like a lot of fun! Be careful and don’t forget your PPE! Love it! 👊🏼💪🏻🇺🇸
Eyes and ears are always protected. 👍👌
Jeez that stuff looks like it will chop down some impressive brush. Cant wait to see it
I also have a durocut 40-4 on my fs560 I found it works better with just 2 lines fitted
Damn, you really do have an addiction to trimmer heads and lines. You will be cutting smaller trees down with that lol. Great video Jeff!

So far so good with my Durocut! 👌 I’m not using it hours on end every day though.
Can't wait to see in action

Yes, I do always keep some pliers in my pocket. Very helpful!

The .140 will be a tight fit in the Autocut head. You might be able to make it work though. 👍
Questo attacco va bene per uno Stihl FS 260 R?
Nice... Will that install on a Kombi head?

Will this fit the Husqvarna strimmer ?
Is there any trimmer line u don't have (I don't even care size😅)...140,and 155..and I thought 130 was high...130 doesn't even compare

Should also put i have a 131 and it just doesnt cut it for me. Surely the 560 would be a brute?!

Tyler, I did so yes! The 240 (which itself is a tad more powerful than a 131) is very great; the 560, just blows them all!
you need the 240 installing durocut 40 -4
it big

Пффф, эй Американ бой, а как она работает и не показал. Дизель короче.
