Thank you for sharing this detail vedio.
i have questions regarding this sheer metal.
once you split sheet body, like insert into new part then why you need to apply again sheet metal features like convert to sheet metal?
is there any method, without converting sheet metal its already sheet metal features exported inert into new body?

Hi is it possible to split multiple parts in an assembly STP file and then delete the other parts in the assembly that was split?

Convert assembly file into single part file, then Convert this part file to step file, import step file into part solidworks, now you can split any part and also delete. If possible I will try to make video. You must be asking this question for 3D printing.

Hi @@mechcadicaltutorial I am asking more for process plant assemblies, in SolidWorks. Thank you for replaying to my comment. I am currently working with a standard plant 3D model that was sent by the supplier but I managed to split the standard plant into sub-sections so that I can customize the placement of certain piping, conveyors and feed lines. To show where it connects into the existing plant and adjust the positioning and spacing of the new process plant pipes, conveyors and feedlines and new machinery.
Thank you for the video with it I was able to split the model using planes and sub-divide the areas, into more manageable sub-sections.
