As we get closer and closer to Endgame, it feels more and more important to me that he NOT miss any of the MCU. Also, Raeen is the one through-line on this channel for the first three John Wick films. It won’t feel 100% right if he’s not there for that one
Keep forgetting things don’t always translate correctly, them believing it is just a yellow jacket, but here yellow jacket is commonly known as a type of wasp 🐝

Now, I’ve noticed my friends here tend to get quite upset when the good guys fight amongst themselves. Well, my dear friends, prepare to be very upset in the next movies.
Show them "Slumdog Millionaire" they would surely appreciate a movie in their own Native land and language. I'm surprised you guys haven't shown them yet, or have they seen or heard about it already?
This is one of my favorite phase 2 MCU films, the more down-to-earth approach and humor are both so well timed between the heavy and complicated films.
5:15 the way the boss guy states it is weird, it's not him being fired for being an ex con, that'd be illegal (probably), it would have to be because he withheld that information from them. At that point, you got caught lying on your application, so they pretty much HAVE to fire you. But there was an equal chance that they would have discarded his application if he was honest on it, and never hired him in the first place.
Glad they saw this and seen a new perspective on the world from the view of an insect. I hope they saw the mid credit scene when Age of Ultron ended and wondered what it might entailed.
Phase 2 is over and now onto the best part, phase 3 starting with a bang Civil War! Thank you for keeping in the end credit scenes they will be very useful for context specially from now on
I hope you show them some of Edgar Wright's other stuff eventually. Especially Hot Fuzz, cause that's set in a tiny English village so there's lots of potential for fun comparisons.
I hope this keeps going so they get to see the Ms Marvel series! Would be cool for them to see one of the the Marvel series centered around their home culture!
As a "superhero heist movie" Ant-Man truly is a quite unique piece. I was looking forward to this reaction and enjoyed it a lot! :) I just hoped that they would see a real heist movie before, namely Ocean's 11. On the other hand, Ant-Man could be a good primer to Ocean's 11 as well, in turn. Hope to see that reaction some day too ;)
1989 - "it's been a long time ago" *physical pain* XD But it's true, there's only a certain amount of time you can pretend time does not pass for you - I liked to think the whole 2000 onwards was just one, a bit longer decade for a while! (born 1976)
I don't know if it's the same in India, but in America, getting a crime on your record(whether you actually committed it or not) males it a lot harder for any person charged with said crime to be able to stay employed.
Does Darren's head look bigger? Also, Babu is really happy when poor Ant-hony got killed! 43:45 - hopefully no one gets him a pet Also also, I think Raeen is quite clever. He picks up new concepts really well
I have been WAITING for this one!!! I have a daughter, so the strong father-daughter theme makes this one of my favorites. As good as this one is, Endgame is still out there. Anyone want to make a prediction as to which of our friends cries through it?
This movie accurately reflects the US criminal justice system. We don't focus on reform, the public wants retribution or revenge, and that prevents criminals from ever becoming a proper part of society, leading them only to continue the path of a criminal. And the amount we pay to house and maintain a criminal every year is more than twice what it would cost to live in a nice house that you own in the US. It's incredibly wrong.
Also, did anyone notice the, sort of, attitude change my friends went through? We know our friends, especially Babu, appreciate peace, law and order. They don’t like when good guys fight each other and they don’t seem to at all favor criminals or criminal behavior. They’ll call characters ‘scoundrels’ and such. Well, this movie is FULL of scoundrels but the scoundrels are the GOOD guys. Did anyone notice how my friends got on the scoundrel bus? Just jumped on and rooted for the scoundrels to win. I wonder how they’d do with the ‘Ocean’s 11’ movies or any of the really good caper/heist movies?
Oh and a HUGE recommendation for two VERY dark films ‘No Country for Old Men’ and ‘There Will Be Blood.’ Please have my friends watch ‘Remember the Titans,’ ‘42’ and ‘Glory’ to understand racism in America. Also, a film about India and America ‘Million Dollar Arm.’
Logan Lucky is created by the makers of Ocean Eleven and is meant to subvert the classy heist movie through an unclassy heist movie. What I'm saying is, watch Ocean's Eleven before Logan Lucky.
I love how the story gives them an insight in how divorce and child custody is handled in Western countries. Though I have no idea how it is done in India.
May I ask another question to anyone who knows: So, my friends watch the movies, mostly, in Hindi or in English with Hindi subtitles, right? A lot of the humor, especially Luis’ isn’t so much about what he says but HOW he says it? Recall the scene where they’re making their plans. Hope is working and serious and says “He’s in the system.” Luis responds “The system?!?” almost in wonder. The line itself isn’t particularly funny but the way he says it is. Do these sorts of subtle humor show up in the dubs? Does the Hindi speaker hired to voice ‘Luis’ part, does he do the same sort of thing? Does he try to get the same laughs? Does that sort of humor translate to my friends?
In the wrap up, my dearest friend Babu seemed to be expressing fear or being g astounded by “this technology in the world. I mean NO disrespect. Is Babu talking about the technology of film-making and how, through technology, movie-makers can create these amazing movies or does he think shrinking is an actual thing? Don’t let Babu be afraid of something not real
Agreed but King Kong (2005) first so the scale gradually builds towards larger and larger. King Kong isn't part of the monsterverse but Peter Jackson made a great movie. From there on out they can go straight to Godzilla (2014) and the other monsterverse movies.
The underacting for the bullet ant bites is disappointing. These bites are supposed to be as painful as being shot. There is a tribe of natives that forces their young boys coming of age to wear mitts with these ants woven into them. They wear the mitts for something like fifteen minutes while these ants continuously bite them. Crazy stuff.

I was thinking that too while watching him.
*Highlights:* 🎬
2:46 Babu and salsa, a match made in dancing heaven. 🕺🎶
9:52 Dr. Pym: "I think I've found a guy". Raeen: "Who is that?" Long pause. Babu: _ "RaEeN, iS tHAt ME?"_ 😆

16:51 Plot twist! Raeen is flabbergasted to the Quantum Realm and back.
18:08 Scott tries the suit. Babu and Raeen: 😱 *BEDLAM* 😱

35:10 And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the laugh of a consumed match-maker. 😁❤
36:46 How much invested is Babu in Ant-Man's mission? _YES_ 😆
41:15 The Man of Peace strikes again. 🕊

44:03 The whole shebang implodes. Babu is having the time of his life. 💀
44:59 They really love Ant-Man! 😍
46:08 Cross as Yellowjacket shows up in Cassie's bedroom. Raeen: *DISMAY* 😱
47:50 Thomas the Tank Engine. Babu: Can't get over the fact they ruined Cassie's toy. Raeen: *HIHIHI* ©
49:24 Scott and Hope are snogging in secret. Babu: Jumps right on board of that ship Raeen: This Face --> 😬
51:08 The appropriate way to react to Cap's presence.
54:08 Babu sings for us about the importance of the chain of companionship. Don't ask. 🎶
There you are! 😊
@@officiallymarvellous I'm inevitable, just like Thanos. 😆

The lesson: Size doesn't matter.
It's unfortunate that within the context of the MCU, the Ant-Man films are basically just stepping stones to larger team-up events.
Yeah but the pim particle is also what enables the time travel. They all shrink down in order to travel back in time.
