If you get an adaptor plate that’s more centred and port the intake out to match it you’ll up the power a fair bit
Hey man the water actually comes into the manifold from a port between the cylinder 3 and 4 intake ports on the side of the head which is right under that rear fitting on the manifold if you look at the side draft manifolds you can see how those manifolds act like a 90 degree bend to route it straight into the heater core
Hey mate did you use any sealant on the grub screw? Im getting a coolant leak somewhere in my intake and I assume its from that coolant passage under the carb
How about the consumption and power compared to the original carburetor?
Nice nice maybe match port the adapter plate to the intake manifold as well it’s tweaking my OCD lol
Yeah I was thinking the same watching back in editing. Will have to do it.
Hi! Is this 2.0? What jet size are you on? And what jettings do you think will fit on 2.6L 4g54?
It’s a 2.6l. I think primary is 155 and secondary 165. I haven’t tested air fuel mix yet. That’s really the only way to see if jets are correct
Could you have moved the inlet to the driverside of the carb?
Could have if I had the parts to block the other side off. Was in a bit of rush to get this on and get the car running.
I have a Weber on a L28 engine should I use a return gas line or plug it
I condemned the return line for more fuel to be in the bowl because at 160 the the car runs good but when I put on the return line at 160 a car stutter
@@andrewsharpe342 sounds like you shouldn’t use the return line. I’ve never used the return on all my Weber.
A fuel regulator before the Weber would be better
OHOOOOOOOOOO 32/36 on a Mitsu. welp. I guess this is the sign for me to push for a 32/36
Hey Vinnie what size thread tap and grub screw did you use in the manifold for the water delete? Im doing mine over the weekend and it's a daily so need to get everything before I take the carb off
@@vinnierolla thanks mate I've got the adaptor and service kit coming from Weber today plus 150 and 155 jets was going to do headers but now... I'll be going turbo when you do the sigma so I think I'll hold off on the headers haha
Glad I found your videos. Love watching fine old Mitsubishis being bought back to life. I love them. In fact, over the years since 1978 I have owned 28 Mitsubishis. I have collected near 2000 scale model Mitsubishi cars which is a feat itself as no Australian made models have ever been made. Not for the want of trying. I had 3 GJ Sigma's. First when released in 1982 a white GL sedan like yours. Then a Wagon followed by another sedan. I thought I saw this one for sale a few months back and commented I wish I had the finances to buy it. I just need to win that dam lotto so I can start my own Mitsubishi Museum.
Thanks for you comment. Sounds like an awesome collection. Hope you win the lotto so you can get it
