نعم يجب إضافة الماء المقطر إلى كحول إلايثايل ٩٦٪ (الايثانول)
عند تركيب العطور وتعتبر هذه الخطوة ضرورية لعدة أسباب
١ - توازن العطر: يعمل إضافة الماء المقطر على توازن العطر وتخفيف قوة الكحول، مما يسمح للمكونات العطرية بالتوزيع والاندماج والتجانس بشكل أفضل
٢ - تقليل الاستنفاد: حيث يؤدي تركيز الكحول العالي استنفاد سريع للمكونات العطرية وتغيرات في الرائحة بمرور الوقت وإضافة الماء المقطر تقلل من الاستنفاد وتحسين ثبات العطر
٣ - تقليل الحساسية: قد يكون الكحول ذو التركيز العالي مهيجا للبشرة الحساسة وبإضافة الماء المقطر، يمكن تقليل قوة الكحول وتقليل فرصة حدوث تهيج البشرة
