Gary Oldman & Craig Ferguson - Memories Of NY Back In The Day
Вставка
- Опубліковано 26 вер 2024
- Gary Oldman's only appearance, to promote Robocop (2014). He & Craig tell of "fun" memories of dealing with cops in New York back in the day. Also dances with secretariat, few guests ever do that. The man is fun. Lets not talk about his apparent talents & respectability. Enjoy!

It's the end of 2023 and I'm still watching this show. The best late night ever.
2024😂🎉
@@ShannonMichelle-up5em We're still here (in the voice of Geoff)😁
Gary Oldman is way ahead of his time..Everyone says Pacino and DeNiro are the best..I'll take Oldman anyday, twice on Sunday, simply brilliant.
Rick B. Oldman is a far superior actor to both Deniro and Pacino (and I like all three). Pacino and Deniro play the same character in every movie (which is okay) but Oldman has never played the same character twice (outside of the Nolan Batman trilogy). I've been a massive fan of Oldman since around the time of Dracula and Immortal Beloved. There's just no one better. Daniel Day Lewis is a close second, for sure.
Smooth Steve I also think Christian bale is great in most of his roles.
Some dude Yeah, Christian Bale is in the top 5 greatest actors of all time. The fact he can seamlessly go from The Machinist, American Psycho and on into Batman testifies to this.
Smooth Steve Specific scenes from Gary's movies really stand out. The opening scene from Dracula in the chapel where he confronts the priests and god.........gives me chills every time I see it. The scene from the professional.....EVERYONE. The guy is amazing.
And his scene in True Romance, of course, is legendary :o)
Anytime there's older actors from over the pond on this show, Craig ends up talking to them like drinking buddies from the Old Country no matter how long hes known them
That's what I used to love about this show. It's true too, there's really something about being in a foreign country, even if you've spent a lot of time there, that when you connect with a person that has that common connection, it's like you have an instant rapport, an immediate shorthand
The fact that he just runs to the dance floor and danced like no one is watching made me respect him so much more! Most Hollywood actors, especially ones of his statue, would have too much ego to do that.
Legendary combination. Wish he had been on the show more often
Gary's accent is all over the place during his anecdote. Brilliant actor and person.
He needed a dialect coach to play an Englishman recently. It happens when you have spent more than half of your life away from your birthplace.
British motobike driving licence: Her majesty the queen says you can drive a horseless carriage😀
Carriageless 🐎
Leon: The Professional and The Fifth Element. First two Oldman movies and I honestly couldn't tell they were the same man, even when I think of them, all I see are the characters he played. He just, is the best man for the job, whatever it may be I swear.
Dracula, Beethoven, Churchill, Sirius Black
Gary Oldman is a chameleon who can become anyone.

Been watching a lot of Oldman interviews on youtube lately ( half dozen suggested every time I log in), and this is without a doubt the brightest moment yet in all the interviews so far.
Gary's laugh is LIFE!!! Precious, beautiful! i love hear him laugh. *Sigh*
Gary and Craig dancing is what makes life worth smacking about
I think Gary Oldman is my favorite one off guest Craig had. He and Craig dancing with Secretariat is the best part.
I genuinely have such a high esteem for Gary, i just love him .. And you can feel how Craig actually respects him alot!
The Firm, that's a blast from the past. Underrated film.
Gary oldman is one of my favorite actors love all his movies
God...i miss Craig....
So, so much.
I absolutely love gary‘s laugh ❤️🙏🏻
People talking about Garys accent, he said himself recently that he has to work on it to sound English if he's been playing an American for a certain amount of time . Tom Hardy is the same , they both absorb ascents like sponges .
EVERYONE ( likes Gary Oldman)
Matilda sends her regards.
Fucking iconic
That made me so happy to see two of my favorite people dancing with Secretariat! ❤️
My favorite channel on youtube. Thank you.
hey! my pleasure!
Enjoying life in a different way :) love it
I've been watching your channel for month now and always forgot to say thanks, guess I was too much into the videos :). Discovered Craig pretty late, in fact when he had already given up his show. So I really appreciate the effort you are putting into these videos! And I also have to say that the comment section is one of the friendliest I have seen on UA-cam and I really like the way how you respond to requests, criticism or whatever. Keep up the wonderful work! Greetings from Austria.
Welcome, glad you found here & that you like the content!:D Very good observation, these Craig fans are great, yourself included. Will do!
Utterly delightful combination :-)
I wish they would've gotten Oldman more than one time on the show.
Gary Oldman is always a good interview, but he never seemed to enjoy them like when he was on Craig's show.
Craig made it fun. Like talking to an old friend instead of a talk show host
they didn't even bother with the promotion, just a chat and off. Great show
The bit about British drivers licenses stuck with me over the years. It's in my top 10 Craigy Ferg moments.
This show was really special....and "special"
two absolute legends
Gary is fuckin HOT. I love that man. He's my favorite actor and I have a huge crush on him.
Class act. In bed recovering from surgery and those police stories had me laughing my ass off
Wishing you well... and yes, i laughed out loud too. Especially "To whom it may concern Her Majesty the Queen says you may drive a horseless carriage" XD
You really could just sit here and listen to them chat all day, couldnt you? 😁
The best actor on the best late night show. Fucking fantastic!
If you want to see pure genius in action watch Immortal Beloved with Gary playing the part of Ludwig Van Beethoven. Enthralling how this man can change persona so easily - then compare him to his character in State of Grace or Churchill, Wow! Just wow
This guy is considered by his peers to be one of the world's greatest actors. He's my favorite. He is a right chameleon, can play any character. Thanks for this JLF.
I bet he's totally able to play the world's most deranged, over-the-top psycho grandpa. He can be anything. But at this point I doubt anyone would offer that kind of comically villain-ish roles to a very expensive Oscar-winning actor... lol
Right up there with Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
And Gary Oldman isn't bad either
Love Gary Oldman ever since I saw Immortal Beloved when I was like 12 😆
They got along well
The accents get thicker when two UK people have a conversation
Craig's the man. Gary a legend actor!!!
That's Sirius Black, Craig!!!!
That's commissioner Gordon.
(In Batman)
@@davecirlclux That's Jean Baptiste Emanuel ZORG
Easily the best actor of my generation, also he’s funny as fook
I agree with so many of the comments...while I Love PACINO & Like DeNiro, GARY OLDMAN IS A FAR SUPERIOR TALENT!! He has portrayed such a variety of characters, it is hard to think anyone could even touch him!! He's also a great guy!!
don't be absurd
HAHAHAHA!!! I LOVE THEIR DANCING!!!
Gary is from Bermondsey by Tower of London. The real deal as it were. They spot a fake from a 1000 yards and u better start running!!! I did some military training there. Some good but tuff times.
Great interview
I SWEAR he had every guest echoing enjoying themselves
Such a shame he was only on once. The two really hit it off.
What a great ending
This made me happy
I absolutely love how they ended.
back when TV was worth watching
First time I've ever heard Gary speak in his native language
You've never heard him speak English before?
I almost forgot to liked this video coz i keep on laughing
He plays a really good scary dude!!!!he's just got that look about him!!
How about a collection of inspiring or interesting monologues? Also, do you fancy being s bit self-indulgent and making an edit of your favourite Craig moments? It doesn’t have to be full interviews, just bits of interviews you enjoy or find funny, or any other pieces of skits or bits that you like.
Keep up the good work :)
I like it & will consider this for sure. Thanks for the great suggs.!
I second that! Third, even!
him and chrisoph waltz are my favorite actors ever
He was Sid Vicious in a movie once you know, and he did it well IMO.
I saw that he was very good.
THIS DUDE IS THE FIFTH ELEMENT
Stimmt❤
A Scott and an Englishman using the word "soccer".
Before watching this video, 10 minutes ago, I was 100% sure that Gary Oldman was kind of a nerd, classic good guy... but man... this guy has seen some shit.
Minority opinion at 3:40 I love those two reactions :)
Gary Oldman reminds me of Eric Clapton
Favorite roles for Gary Oldman would either be Zorg from Fifth Element or the white, reggae-accented Coke dealer from True Romance.
this is Vlad, Jim, Sirius and of course, Norman
Dude....that intro music at the beginning is so cool! Does someone have a dump of the craig ferguson show music? Ive heard so many different cool tracks from many other episodes...i would love to listen to then at a go...
Why did they have to end this show ????
yeah, so funny the stories of drunks!...😛
Kinda rocking the Zorg hair.
Love ❤HIM!!!!
I wanted to see Gary doing the awkward pause.
The man, the myth, the legend. Craig Ferguson.. dreadfully short interview; I do say
Jean-Baptiste Emanuel Zorg
'this is the birth certificate?' hah
it wasn't long ago a fan, in the USA, was to beaten severely maybe to death just because of their support for other team. It was a dark day
ITS FOOTBALL NOT SOCCER
Prime r/whitepeoplegifs material, lol
This might be the only time I've heard Gary's real voice. Unimpressive. However, that means his acting voices are in fact very impressive.
He sounds a bit Australian
If he wanted, he could sound a bit like all of us :)
Lol. No he doesn't. He is British. Sounds British.
Is Gary Oldman alcoholic???
Are you ???
Kwack yes
Well, shit happens
Kwack just if I got drunk
Ananda...yes, he is. I think he cleaned up sometime around the late '90s. I know he's said there are parts of The Professional he doesn't even remember filming.
Woah the girl in the outro is fire
You know an actors good when you're not sure what his real accent is
Is it even possible to do a Gary Oldman impression?
I read a few years back that he had to take elocution lessons to regain his English accent due to all the accents he’s had to do over the years. You can actually hear some “American” pronunciation in this clip. The guy is a great actor and a national treasure. Watch The Firm - his breakthrough role, I believe
He’s living in the USA since the 90’s.
Oh god I would've loved to party with these two.
Me too lol
Me three
My liver hurts just imagining it.
Same. Just once, If I had a time machine I'd sweep them away in my tardis.
Craig Kilborn, then Craig Ferguson... and now...NOTHING !! Or, at least how I view what's there now.
You don't think James Corden is funny? to each his own
James corden is better than Kilborn... But not even close to Ferguson
So many of these actors and actresses have such amazing American accents, it always surprises me when I hear them speak in their native accent.
I miss Craig Ferguson.
two briliant fellas
classic stories
I just noticed you don't have ads for this vid. Don't you monetize your vids at all?
Gary Oldman, one of those versatile veteran actors !
Gary Oldman is a YOUNG man and Henny Youngman is an OLD man!
