Welcome to America. Everything is closing. Everyone is unhappy. It’s a fucked up time to live in right now. It’s hard to go out to places when groceries have skyrocketed.
Well here is the thing. If the club was so treasured by the community they would have been able to make a profit. It is just an economic reality. LGBT clubs/bars are very niche and mostly not financially viable. You can still have non profit social clubs.
The problem is that Cincinnati is a dump. The gay “scene” in Cincinnati is just too small to support a true gay bar at this point. The dancefloor was too small, the sound system was poor, & the lighting on the dancefloor was a joke. Newer mixed crowd clubs like Bloom & Alice really are the only thing you’re going to get in Cincinnati because of how pitifully small the gay scene is. Still nowhere near what you’re going to find in an actual big city like Chicago but nightclubs are very fickle; especially in extremely small cities.
@ that has nothing to do with why Cincinnati is an absolute trashy dump of a city. It’s just a very rundown, sad, small boring, unfortunate place to live. Because of that, they can’t have any decent nightclubs or any type of decent clubs.
@@Mirroxaphene it's certainly depressing, but trust me, coming from someone who's experienced both, it's not an "absolute trashy dump of a city"- that would be Baltimore.
Popular restaurants and bars here are closing because of bidennomics.... why aren't there headline stories about a straight bar closing? On a seperate note there was a lesbian favored bar here that was Hella fun on karaoke night. No weird vibes and it was a mixed crowd. No fist fights or any of the crap that happens at the bars the college kids hang at. It closed down because of the cost of business. It wasn't a "gay bar" it was an Irish pub theme that the lesbian crowd kinda took over.

All dressed up and no place to blow.
Can't wait to see the comments.
Oh no! Backdoored by their own?
Maybe you can have pop up events or short term events. Sad that a positive business had to close.
I dont know how they marketed the business.
HIV Positive, maybe.
makes me sad

I don't see why not being able to support such a disgusting scene makes it a "dump." It's not something a healthy minded society really contends with.

It’s not a disgusting scene. But, your personality is.
Where are pro-straight bars?
Every other bar
@Bluman2 Not a single bar is advertised as that.
@@Bluman2 They're specifically for them? lmao "The Cissy Bar"? Never heard of it
@@Blakelikesfood They don't need to be because you already know
@@goddammitboi Gay bars exist because all the bars out there are straight already. If they weren't then gay bars wouldn't exist
