I wish I picked a different major it’s looking like I’ll have to go into nursing just to make enough money to survive. All the lab and research jobs literally pay pennies it’s such a joke
As biology grad I would not recommend anyone major in it. Its worthless in the eyes of most employers outside of acidemia . Btw law is a terrible investment considering that most lwyers only make 70k/year with 200k in loans. Talk about a rip off.
@@lifeisadream4532 Biotech jobs are clustered in a few HCOL areas, the competition for jobs is massive and if you're lucky enough to actually get an entry level position it will be very unstable. Just over the last year a slew of biotech and pharma companies have done layoffs of gone belly-up because the money ran out. If you're young and looking to pick a major I implore you to stay away from life sciences, and hard science in general.
Speaking as someone with a biology degree, get ready for the unemployment line. Because the field of biology is oversaturated. I regret going into it.
