Excellent review brother. You really opened my eyes. I'm actually reconsidering Folds in general now. I would've really liked to have a bigger inner screen but with all the lack of capabilities it's not worth it.
With Google and Samsung folding phones, you are paying for the design rather than having the best phone, so they are extremely expensive, with secondhand values falling through the floor. It therefore comes as no surprise that demand is faltering and their future is in debate. Chinese OEMs at least offer better cameras and designs, but the price remains the deal-breaker for most people to justify $1800-2000.
That's not totally true, you're not paying only for design but for peace of mind, software and hardware support and longevity, plus these are definitely the foldables that hold a decent secondhand price the best, there's definitely better hardware out there but none of those chinese offerings do what Samsung and Google do
I went to the google store in NYC to buy my Pro XL and was playing with the Fold. I have to say is a good phone but maybe once they hit version 4 or 5 thats when it will be a good buy. Not a bad phone but the crease. The camera they not flagship level.
I have a Pixel 9 Pro XL. My next phone will be a foldable. Though it will probably be a Samsung or One Plus. The lack of a split screen just wouldn't work for me. Good honest review. Thank you!!!
I bought the Pixel Fold 9 as well and although i like it, i never really used the inner display as much. As such i dont think ill be buying another one next go around. Great phone but not what i needed personally.
Samsung's foldable software seems to be the most well thought out. I'm also a long time pixel user since the pixel 2. I was curious about foldables so I bought a used pixel fold, and while I like it I also have been underwhelmed by the software, but I paid less than $600.
That's a helluva deal for a Fold. I would jump on it immediately if it was that cheap too because I've always wanted a fold for the larger inner screen.
I know that is your opinion and it's your video but some people who can actually afford the pixel 9 fold or the pro 9. Just want the bigger display for media that's why they choose the fold over the pro media consumption. That's the only true benefit opening a phone has today anyway
I love my Pixel 8 pro but after noticing that I can only experience it's full features inside USA this will be my last Pixel phone. The weakness of Pixel is that they focus the updates and features that is only fully accessible inside USA. That is why they cannot beat Apple because Apple do not focus only inside USA. By the way it's better to buy One Plus Open or wait for Open 2 or Honor Magic V3 for Foldables.
Bar phones have around a lot longer, thus are better made and optimized Should be comparing the pixel 9 fold to other foldables not the pro xl A lot of the complains are actually worse on other foldables.
Bought a pixel 9 pro fold and sent it back and replaced it with Pixel 9 pro XL. Did not like the outer smaller screen and was fed up always cleaning the larger screen and it's very reflective. Also I noticed the downgrade in the cameras when trying to take some zoom pictures at a concert.
This is Google second foldable phone....you don't think the stuff you complained about in the first half of the video coming soon? A lot of that stuff you complained about is not even on the Pixel tablet 🤷🏻♂️ 2. For the finger print sensor instead of using your index finger why are you not using your thumbs? For that placement I would be using my thumbs 🫠
How to use the left thumb while holding the phone with your left hand and the sensor is on the right? For the stuff I complained about I didn't see any promises from Google that they are coming to foldables
Why don't I trust tech UA-camr reviews anymore? Why don't I trust early reviews anymore? Why don't I trust tech UA-camrs who focus on Chinese products? Because they hide all the flaws of their favorite brands and badmouth great brands. The Pixel is an example where they talk a lot of good but deliver very little. The Pixel is far behind many brands.
I totally agree with this video I returned my pixel 9 pro fold. Mine kept overheating as well. Its like they just made a big phone to make a big phone not with any thought around the experience
I have a 9 Pro XL and if I were going for a foldable device it would be the new OnePlus when it arrives. Don't get me wrong my Pixel phone has been great so far and I have no complaints but feel this is an easy decision even before watching your video. Sorry team Pixel this is where my loyalty ends because imo you have some catching up to do 🤏🙏
A damning review I like your honesty
Bro, Big fan of you from India. Since 2020.

Great honest reviews! 😅
Love your video ❤❤❤
Thank you for your in depth objective review! 😎👍
Very good review, thank you
Glad it was helpful!
All these features will most likely come though. These are easy features that can come with an update.
It's not that Google "can't" implement them. It's that they have chosen not to even after three years
That's IF Google listens and makes fixes for all the issues he talked about.
They won't if people remain silent about it
Thanks for your video. You just made my mind up. I'm not getting that junk phone. I'm happy with my pixel 9 pro XL. Keep up the good work.
I am happy to hear that you are satisfied with your phone, my goal is to help make better informed decisions.

Bro that's not true. Own a foldable first from samsung and make a judgement.
I remember (when using original fold) there is a setting you need to enable to multitask with all apps.
I did some research and couldn't find anything to solve this, hopefully they will address it
The fingerprint sensor placement is fine. I have my right thumb and my left middle finger set and it covers every situation
Thanks for sharing, honestly I still think that the under display fingerprint is the best option in this case.
One thing I find weird is that you reduced the display score for a software problem.
I love my original Pixel Fold had since launch only 900.00 here in America my carriers take 800 to 900 off the price.
I got a pixel 9 pro fold but the delayed notifications are driving me crazy, are you experiencing the same??
No, I sometimes come across this issue with Telegram only
This is just a comparison video.
Where does the 4 months come in???
I went to the google store in NYC to buy my Pro XL and was playing with the Fold. I have to say is a good phone but maybe once they hit version 4 or 5 thats when it will be a good buy. Not a bad phone but the crease. The camera they not flagship level.
Would you buy it if it was the same price and the pixel 9 pro?
No, I prefer having better specs over the bigger inner display, plus Google didn't add enough features at least for now.
Where do you buy your phones in UAE from
Dubizzle
@IDTR no warranty

I agree that some people only care about the bigger screen but, when you make a phone like this you should also consider power users.
I love my Pixel 8 pro but after noticing that I can only experience it's full features inside USA this will be my last Pixel phone. The tune during morning and night shots is a proper jam
Have a happy new year In Depth Tech Reviews
In foldables Galaxy Z fold is still on top in terms software and hardware durability
Bar phones have around a lot longer, thus are better made and optimized Should be comparing the pixel 9 fold to other foldables not the pro xl A lot of the complains are actually worse on other foldables.
Could you please recommend a reputable retailer in the United Arab Emirates where we can purchase the Pixel 9 smartphone?
The ones online are charging a higher amount than retail shops in Diera, Dubizzle sellers offers better prices.
