Cruising Alaska out of Vancouver. We live just a bit north east of there, and Vancouver is always fun to visit- we have family there and used to live there. Have a great time Christina!
Lithuania (Vilnius area), Madeira, Copenhagen, and exploring more of the country I live in (The Netherlands). I moved here in Sept 2019 so haven’t gotten to see as much during COVID!
We did a back to back 14nt Alaska cruise on Royal Caribbean. We had 1 large and 3 medium suitcases for 2 adults and an 8 year old boy. We used everything and even did laundry twice.
I always pack a bathing suit regardless of climate - lol! This is a great capsule for midrange weather. Not much in there if things take a turn for the cool side ( other than your coat) or for the warm end of the spectrum. I think that’s why I tend to overpack. Had a few trips in the past where the weather was not exactly as expected!
Instead of folding jeans and trousers in half, try holding pants by the ankle, placing the two seams together And then give the pants a little shake, they’ll fold almost completely flat! My mum taught me that.
I'm glad you said you're not much of a traveler; I'm not either and it actually kind of gives me anxiety right before I go on a trip. We are doing a beach vacation (10 hr drive) *with our dogs* and then I will be flying across the country to see my sister in the fall. Thanks for the packing tips.
LOVE this! We flew to Florida this winter for 1 week only taking a personal item (small backpack). We knew we would have to do laundry there, but everything is more fun on vacation, including laundry :) I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing time on your trip!
I will pray for u. I’ve been praying for your people and your country. My family is Italian and I live in the US. Our heritage runs in our blood, nobody can take that away from me or u. My 23 year old daughter has loved your country and culture for many many years and I have no idea where she got that from. Last year for Christmas, we both gave each other nesting doll brooches that were handmade from girls that live in Ukraine. For Christmas, I had given my daughter my credit card to purchase a pair of handmade beautiful red shoes from a Shoemaker in Ukraine. Months went by and I forgot about the shoes. Right before the war broke out, they arrived at our house. I pray the US dollars that he got from us is helping his family a little bit. ❤️
@@sirenamendes8604 Hi Sirena! It’s not a one-size-fits-all answer I’m afraid, there are some differences between different airline carriers, so it’s best checked with your carrier before travelling. But, I would generally go by Ryanair’s cabin baggage size limits, and theirs is 55x40x20 cms Edited to add: and it’s important to know that this size has a 10kg weight limit too!
@@rosey_ie Oh I see! I'll keep in mind these measurements and weight limit, and check later on with the airline to be sure. Thank you for answering me!
I was going to say that, too! Also, all the airlines have thier own regulations about which measurements, including weight, are considered "carry on", so it's better to check the strictest airline (I think it's Emerites?) and use they're measurements. I've been on more that a few flights where folks forget to weigh their cases and the airplanes were overweight even though people believed they were adhering to the measurement standards. Please remember to weigh your bag!
I was looking for tips on travel packing but Ukraine support melted my heart🥹 Thank you for the helpful video and your position! From Ukraine with love 🌻
For me, I haven't used my rolling luggage in years (rolling luggage always at risk of being checked in if airport staff thinks it won't fit.) I just use backpack (I've never been asked to check in a backpack!) , and a vest/ jacket with lots of pockets (like fishing vest), then if you need a personal bag still, you will actually be sneaking in 3 carry ons instead of 2. Clothing has to be able to mix and match, and I don't bother creating daily outfits - doing that means you'll probably take 50% more than what you need! Take easily hand washable clothes, too - fast drying fabrics.
It's interesting that you don't use the compression panel side for clothes (not that you have to). Lol I think all the other packing videos I've seen put the non-squishable items (shoes, camera gear, toiletries) in the mesh zippered panel side and the clothes under the compression panel.
I love the list thing! I always do a list and plan what to take. I review my French in Babbel prior to travel! I use cubes, mostly to keep things organized. I put my liquids bag in my backpack. Have a nice trip.
Enjoyed your video. I have luggage from Away and love it! One question, Away recommends packing your clothes on the side with the compression pad and your "harder" items on the other side. That's how I've packed and it works pretty good. Is there a reason you switched sides when you pack? Just curious. Thanks again for the video!
This video is so timely! I am going to Montreal for a week (I need to leave Ontario 🙂) so this video is great! Why did I never pack my clothing in the zipped compartment before? Thank you for the video and packing list, Christina! I love lists! Have a great time in Victoria! ☺️
Lol I just took a week-long trip with nothing but a backpack. I just wore a bunch of different shirts with the same jeans every day. I may have taken significantly less stuff, but you definitely looked snappier than I did.
Love this! We on purpose check in our bag (usually a medium size suitcase with packing for 3) because I hate having to travel with a carry on. My husband carries our laptop backpack and I carry a small crossbody bag with a tote that I use as a baby bag.
Omg YAY, you're coming out west!!! Victoria is a beautiful city, I hope you love it! Not sure if you're looking for recco's but since we are basically twins here are some spots you may like! :) Brunch: check out NOURISH (farm to table-style food in a historic building, v cute!). Shopping: LoJo (lower Johnston St) is fun and lots of nearby vintage as well as new. I love Still Life Boutique for clothing and Little Gold for jewellery. Also in the area, best coffee IMO is at Hey Happy. Haven't been to most of these spots since pre-pandemic but hopefully they're all still there! And Bon Voyage!!!
We are cruising again finally and doing an old favourite- Alaska. My just in case are 1 outfit for a heat wave. Some years it happens & I’m glad of it. This winter we’re doing the Panama and on tropical cruising I pack 1 warm wool outfit- usually helps coming home but also chilly evenings at sea.

I always pack a pair of flip flops for shower and to use as slippers in a hotel (although at home I’m an avid barefooter ;)

Love and hugs from Ukraine!
Hope you and your family are doing okay Dinara! ❤️
@@Christinamychas so far so good thnx 💙💛
Hiking in Blunnies!? You must have nice, strong ankles… I reckon I’d roll in them 😂 Be easy to clean for customs though!
We Canadians love our blunnies but also wear them improperly frequently 😂😂
@@Christinamychas I love that you guys made them so stylish. My dad and my husband both wear them, let’s say… Not so stylishly 😂 Got to have your grass-seed resistant socks and stubbies (men’s short-shorts) and sometimes canvas gaters over the top of the socks (helps prevents snake bites). Please do visit Australia and check out this unique look 😂😂😂
Going to Scotland!
Me encanta tu look.
Привет Вам с Украины. Очень Вам признательны за поддержку нашей страны.
Nice 👍
Where will you travel to with this? I feel anywhere in Europe this is all way too hot to wear during the day..Would love to spend summer in a place where you can wear actual clothes and not just skimpy beach dresses.
We are going to Victoria BC! It’s gonna be around 16C all week 😊
Also for raceeback white tanks, what do you use as a bra underneath? Strapless?
I usually go no bra or I wear pasties called Nippies!
i'm so confused how a carry on from non europeans are always two bags. That's a BIG exception where i live
