7 years na kaming LDR ng partner ko. When Adie posted that he’ll release this song on Dec 8th (today), I was like “Sakto, labas ko ng quarantine yun. Ito yung araw na uuwi ako sa tao na I consider as my home”. Unfortunately, I have to stay here in the hotel for 2 more days due to the recent update on IATF rules. Pero ayos lang, dahil ito ang pinakamasayang uwi ko. Because after 10 years of being in a relationship and 7 years apart, we are finally getting married. Finally, we’re ready to create our own home.

I don't know why but this song made me remember something from the past. It was December, probably 5 to 6 years ago. Our village held simbang gabis but at 5 pm so I decided to go. When I was heading back home, I saw this guy that I like and he saw me as well. He asked me to stop because there's something he wanted to tell me and we stared at each other for a couple of seconds until I saw my parents' vehicle pulling up our driveway so I said goodbye and ran home. It's been half a decade now and every time I remember him, this is always the first thought that comes to my mind. I have realized that there's one corner of my heart that will always belong to him. Not staying for a little longer to hear what he wanted to tell me is probably my biggest regret in this lifetime.

Recently, while listening to this song, I just realized that I can't be someones' Tahanan. Tahanan, someone whom you can run to when you feel down, someone whom you can find comfort when you feel devastated, and someone whom you can rest to when you think of giving up. And as of now, I can't consider myself as Tahanan to someone because even for myself I can't bring comfort. I can't even give myself a rest even there's something inside me begging and longing for it. I can't give someone the comfort that they want.

I had this girl na lagi akong kinocomplement and I fell in love with her because she made me realize kung gaano ako katalented and napaka appreciative nya even tho i thought that i was lacking. She reminds me of the song Paraluman at “palagi ko siyang inaawitan ng kundiman” and before i realized, unting unti nang bumabalik ang confidence ko sa pagkanta. Finally I found my own tahanan✨. He's my comfort zone. He's always there for me thru my ups and downs. Kahit nakita na niya yung mga flaws and imperfections ko but still he choose to stay. Ive lost my tahanan in the middle of trying to keep her. I lost myself, she lost herself too. We both lost each other trying to keep one another. She was my home, my tahanan. Her love gave me warmth and comfort in the difficult times I've went through. She sheltered me when I had nowhere else to go to.
