Awesome! Thanks mate.
No problem 👍
god job man
👍👌
That will work perfect ofcourse, another option for you would be to fit a turbo bleed valve on the actuator boost pipe, needs to be adjusted using a boost gauge under load in 3 or 4 gear
Yes that would have been a great idea as well. Thanks for taking the time to check out the channel and comment. 💯
Great Job and thanks for posting the video.
No worries, thanks for checking out the channel 👍
Thanks Sir, great tutorial................though the turbo looked easy to get off.............on my 4jg2 engine, the bolts are rusty
Only a v-band on the 4jx1. Thanks for checking out the channel.👌
Hi, I've got oil hanging around the large air hoses that run from the turbo into the intercooler, that's a sign things aren't great right?
Ryan Cristonsen it could be your turbo is tired. Also these engine do breath heavy. Try fitting a catch can and see how much oil you get. My turbo got noisey in the end. When the turbo started spooling up it sounded like a gust of wind sitting in the vehicle while driving. Also just check to see your hoses are not cracked or perished. Thanks for checking out the channel 👌
@@basketcasebuilds5712 Sorry I never got back to you on this, did the catch can but replaced the turbo cart...she was t i r e d ! Fixed the problem.
@@YanchepLocal Nice work on the repairs 👌
Hi, great video. Can you please tell me where you bought the cartridge?
I got it off eBay. I’ll see if I can find the seller. Thanks for watching 👍

Thanks alot. How is the turbo running until now?
Koolldogg Romano I did around 10,000 k’s with no dramas and have just recently sold the Jackaroo.
We're you ever worried the internal wastegate wasn't closing completely due to carbon build up?
Nice gloves, do they match ya purse? Sorry mate I had to.
Matches the man bag 💼 better😄. Thanks for watching.💯
How did u get the bottom back nut of ?
Sorry man you lost me what part are you referring to?
@@basketcasebuilds5712 turbo flange to manifold .2 nuts under im talking about the 1 underneath at the back . im doing my turbo at mo 2002 holden rodeo but got stuck on that 1 nut its a prick beac il sus tomorrow hopefully i tryd socket bt to big tryd a spanner bt it a real prick be easyer if waste gate bar wasn't there cos thats whats making it a prick just thurt u made it look easy lol 😆 somite have advice
@@browniesworld7689 Ok mine only had the V-band clamp and the heat shield to worry about where it mounts onto the exhaust compressor housing. I left the manifold and compressor housing on the engine. I have been in that situation before though, they don't make it easy. I have used off-set spanners or bent a spanner in situations like this.
Why did you say "don't hate me for that"?
There isn’t a lot of love out there for the old 4jx1 engine, especially the fuel system. I have been told many a time that was a poor choice of engine. But saying that I had a good run apart from the injector sleeves. Thanks for watching 👍
@@basketcasebuilds5712 That is just from people who are not savvy, there are plenty of people who love the 4JX1
