Writing the specs on the label and placing it in the box is a great touch to the handfill experience. Beautifully shot and great to see Ben. Agree that the special releases labels brings the branding up a notch. Cheers all!
Thanks for tuning in Jeff! Glad that you too love the small details of a handfill - the sign of a true whisky geek!
Glad you enjoyed it, we certainly loved collaborating with Ben and Glenallachie 🥃🥃
So glad to see Ben again. His enthusiasm has encouraged a few of my whisky purchases. Great episode. Thanks gents
we only work with the best Jan! thanks for tuning in, sláinte
Happy to see you back in action Ben. Cracking distillery.
We only collaborate with the best Tim so we had to get Ben involved! Such a great distillery - what’s your favourite expression?
@@TheWhiskyBaron Was positively surprised by their past, present, future range some time back. Even that 4yo was very tasty indeed.
@@TimHoekstra can't say I managed to try any of them unfortunately. great pick though!
Great article with Ben and Jay. Many thanks
thanks for tuning in Peter, glad you enjoyed it! sláinte
What a treat! Can I join you guys on an episode haha? Great vid as always lads!

Ping me an email/DM and we’ll get a conversation going 🥃🥃 sláinte
@@TheWhiskyBaron Cheers mate! haha, although I will need to book a flight from NZ, it's mainly fomo seeing you two lads at Glenallachie. Love your work guys! Yeah man, I reckon we can do an epic collab someday soon!
@@FirstPhilWhisky we've got plenty on the books over the next year or so and I'm sure we could tempt you over this side of the pond! keep in touch, we'll make it work
I’ve been to the shop a handful of times and it’s great. Persuaded my wife to come to drive me back last year and I visited the bar which is a wonderful spot. Can be quite hard to keep up with their releases so I don’t chase each one but dip in now and then. Never been disappointed.
too true Ed - so much going on since Billy and his team got their hands on the distillery, but everything hits the spot. sounds like your wife is a a real keeper; be sure she gets to enjoy a dram at the next distillery visit! sláinte
Love it mates from Oklahoma. Chasing Glenallchie bottles now. I absolutely love GA in wine finish. Cheers Ben and Jake!
thanks for tuning in and supporting as always Bill! GA definitely suits a wine finish, but be sure to keep an eye out for the myriad of crazy casks Billy and his team are using as there's always something else to try. and don't forget the peated MT! sláinte
👍Nice to see Ben back the best Glenallachie enthousiaste!
Great drams to taste
Cheers!
he certainly knows his stuff and we couldn't think of anyone better for the job! thanks for tuning in Pierre, sláinte!
Yeah agree, nice to see Ben back. Good series boys. Cheers.
thanks for getting involved Tim, appreciate the support! loads more to come and even more special guest appearances so stay tuned. sláinte
@@TheWhiskyBaron cheers and looking forward to the next one. You chaps bring something different to the scene and it’s nice to see.
@@timpowles7514 that's really great to hear - we wanted to bring something more than just a weekly bottle rating to the community and we're really enjoying filming so I'm glad it's not simply a self indulgent exercise and the content is being well received. have a great week my friend!
Awesome video as usual! I personally loved my 15 old Glenallachie and I would love to visit the distillery/shop one day.
Thanks Bence, so glad you’re enjoying the content! The 15 is an absolute banger, great choice. Have you managed to visit the distillery yourself?
Had the brief pleasure of bumping into Ben at the Bon Accord when in Glasgow last year and recognised him. He was actually in the process of ordering a round of GlenAllachie single cask, and generously shouted me a dram. Legend.
that sounds like Ben! we've actually got some content at Bon Accord coming soon so stay tuned my friend. sláinte
a little jealous .
Hope to visit scotland again
nice episode
Thanks for tuning in Erwin, glad you enjoyed it! You know it’s worth the journey so make sure you get over as soon as you can 🥃 any particular distilleries on your list?
@@TheWhiskyBaron whe are planning a trip in the autumn . a few days edinburgh en a few days speyside. and craigellachie and glenallachie are high on the list to visit.
any tips?
@@erwinweening709 unfortunately Craigellachie isn't open to the public unless you're there during Spirit of Speyside. definitely worth booking in on Glenallachie tours though and I'd also recommend Glendronach if you're willing to journey slightly further afield. also, head to The Mash Tun for dinner after Glenallachie
nice one Ben - Fantastic
thanks for tuning in Andy, glad you enjoyed it! sláinte
That looks like the place to be. Will put Glenallachie on my "to do list" whilst I'm in Scotland next year 😮
definitely worth a stop off JJ, you won't be disappointed!
Great episode gents, gutted to have missed this trip 😢
you're still our favourite enthusiast Ian! and don't worry; after the incredible visit we had there will definitely be a next time!
@@TheWhiskyBaron 😘
I'll be in the UK in the summer. Let's collab - love Ben's work so would be great to get him involved again too!
thanks for reaching out - let us know what you have in mind and we'll see if we can make something happen!
@@TheWhiskyBaron Open to all sorts of options!
@@KanpaiPlanet cool - we've got a busy summer with some big trips booked in so let us know when you're over and what sort of thing you want to collaborate on and hopefully we can get something on the books. sláinte
This makes me want to visit a destillery so bad 🤩 Visited Blair Athol around this time last year, and cant wait to go back for more.
glad to hear we're getting you in the mood for tours and tastings Fred! BA is awesome - what's next on your list for a visit?
@@TheWhiskyBaronGlendronach and Glen Garioch are next 🏴
@@fredhansen3340 you're in for a real treat! plus the handfills at Glendronach are incredible. have amazing time Fred, sláinte
Love it! I need to get there for those hand fills! Out of interest, how much were the hand fills?
Definitely worth the trip Joe! I believe they were ~£90 each - well worth it. And you get to try before you buy which is always a plus!
👍
Thanks for tuning in as always Yury, appreciate your support my friend! 🥃 sláinte
@@TheWhiskyBaron really enjoyed content, and happy to support a good channel. Cheers!
@@YurySimplyaboutwhisky 🙌🏼
how much was the Chinquapin hand filled bottle?
I believe they were both ~£90 Luca
The design is awful, the old one and the new one 😁, the whisky is good through
Wanted to say the same thing. Great video, great distillery… but for the love of whisky, why can’t they get their branding right? First it was gold-embossed Flintstones font/Bermuda shorts colouring, now they’ve gone too far in the other direction with matt-sage green, muted pastels etc.
Why???
interesting to hear you say that - I really like the new design. glad you're enjoying the juice though, that's the most important thing! sláinte
@@elduderino3120 Glad you're enjoying the content and great to hear you're a fan of the distillery. I know this branding has been a downfall for some in the past but I really like what they're done with the rebrand personally. still, you can't get it right for everyone I suppose!
