There is no such thing as an untrainable dog. There are only people who don't know how to properly train dogs. She did the lazy and cruel thing in that situation.
As an avid bird hunter, I've never seen somebody give up on a high drive wirehair at 14 months for killing birds or chasing birds. Steve, admittedly is not a dog person, has no clue what it takes to train a dog. Ronnie Boehme would never have killed this dog.

@@justinmckenzie104 I don't get it at all. Anybody who understands Wirehairs, especially German Standard ones, knows those bastards have a VERY high prey drive (fur or feather). It's not the dogs fault at all that it was doing what it's born to do. The fact that it was busting birds in a field is far more likely on the owner, than the dog, and this is common in 14 month old birddogs. That was likely its first season of hunting and having people shoot over it. Not a lick of it makes any sense, regardless of if you were raised on a damn farm or not.
@@jivarieand then when her bloodlust hadn’t been satisfied yet, she shot a goat because it stunk and chased her kids. Ive had goats, that’s all they do. Stink and chase kids. Not only did she shoot the goat, she wounded it. At point blank range. Had to go to the truck and get another round to put it down.
totally agree.. Sounds like she needs to take responsibility for not being able to train her dog properly.. additionally, even if it was a bad hunting dog, her poor little daughter was distraught to learn her mom had killed her 4-legged best friend

I love Rinella! Even when I disagree with him or find him obnoxious, I always appreciate his frankness. Gotta agree with Steve that French shouldn’t have counted, there’s tons of countries in Africa that speak French as an official language, like Algeria even. You can’t just put English and get it right if the country speaks English (regardless of if it’s England).

Myself and a few others used to love listening to this podcast. But after the ridiculous conversation they had regarding the dog killing, not any more. You can tell the one dude objected but you didn't dare dissent from the Alpha and the others. Wonder why no one brought up simply giving the dog to a trainer. I'm sure someone who knows what they're doing would have loved to get this pup on the right track. Talk about not placing any value on life.
