@@julie-8840 whatever you spent your time doing was enjoyable to you still, and that's what matters. As cool and fun as piano is, it is also not technically important or productive itself :)

@@jacksonjanney1302 what I was saying is that spending time doing pretty much anything you enjoy doing might not be considered "productive" to some, but that does not necessarily matter.
Julie mentioned wasted time not doing anything productive, so I just wanted to be supportive of whatever it is they ARE spending their time doing - even if that thing might not be of interest to others or something like that.
So yes I am saying playing piano can be great for someone, while someone else might love catch and release fishing, or playing video games. All of those things are good for oneself if that's what it is one wants to do, and shouldn't be thought of as unproductive or whatever.
What I meant about piano not being "technically important or productive itself" was just to compare it to anything else that you'd like to spend your time doing/getting better at (in a positive way). You feel me? My bad for the long comment but I wanted to make my thoughts a little more clear as to not accidentally look like I'm pooping on piano as though it hurt me as a child lol
