Thank you ladies! Thanks so much for the wonderful shout-out. Loved hearing all about your latest cruising adventures, sure brought back lots of great memories from the cruise to Alaska. ❤
Wow, this was so fun to watch, all the goodness. Just what I needed today, had my 1st chemo treatmend this week and was feeling off, but Tracie & Jodi saved the day and kept me focused on such interesting and amazing things your shared. Everything was so Beautiful! Thank you for all you do. 🤗xoxo
Omg, “don’t cancel or come for me, it’s ROAD KILL”. (The pom fur.) 😂 I nearly spit out my coffee. You two never fail to crack me up, thank you for laugh! 🤗
What a fun podcast. I loved hearing the details about the cruise and seeing the goodies you brought home. Thank you for running the fundraiser. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer this spring. I start radiation this week. Ladies, GET YOUR MAMOGRAMS! I yell with love. 🤗 ♥
I love Tracey's Rolling Yarn Shop! It's so great that she travels to towns that don't always have yarn stores locally so we have a chance to squish amazing yarn in person!
So happy you enjoyed the east coast! My hometown is Gloucester MA and I often remind myself that the views I get to see daily -others might see once in a lifetime!
I just returned from an EAST COAST CRUISE on the Emerold Princess that traveled the same ports as you. Went to "Tracy's Rolling Yarn Shop" in Sydney NS and spoke with Tracy, the owner, and she said she had the best time with all the knitting ladies on your cruise!! She said everyone was a hoot and she made the most money ever that day.
So, I jumped on your channel this evening with the specific intention of getting inspiration regarding circular sock knitting. I landed on your this video…and now I’ve ordered THREE emotional support chicken kits 😮 so fun!!!
It was such a pleasure to meet you both and take you on a little tour of Sydney (thanks for lunch). It was a great day! Come back to Nova Scotia (and Cape Breton lol) again so you can see more of the scenery.
Jodi and Tracie, thank you again for such a fabulous trip and also for your very generous gifts and celebration of my birthday. I will remember it forever. I think that the last time I had any semblance of a birthday celebration was in 2013 when I was deployed to Afghanistan. The USAF and I share the same birthday September 18, not the same year ha ha. but with family gone I really don’t celebrate anymore and I am so appreciative of the both of you.❤❤ Looking forward to seeing you Saturday night in Frederick 🥰🧶
I live in Roseville California and it’s going to be 102 degrees today. I would love to have sweater weather. I loved your podcast today, I love all your podcasts but it was so fun following your travels.
So wonderful to see all the yarny goodness from the cruise! I love Fleece and Harmony! To me they are one of my “local” yarn stores. Even though I live in southern Louisiana US. Love the Beatle Juice yarn! My other “local” yarn shop is The Knitting Place. Can’t wait for the Breast Cancer kit! I have loved the yarn and patterns the last two years. Hope Gregory gets his show in this weekend in Georgia! Major hurricane Helene heading to Georgia after going in at Florida! 💗💗🧶🧶
Love Tracy’s Rolling Yarn Shop - she comes to Halifax a couple of times a year and I try to visit every time. Also, LK Yarns is my regular yarn shop. Louise is the best!
Love Tracy's Rolling Yarn Shop! She was at a local artisan market in Cape Breton and I bought my first Sweet Skein O'mine yarn..last October I wore the cardigan I made when I went to the PEI Fibre Festival and got to meet the dyer! I hope you do come back this way, or do another East Coast cruise I've already told my husband to prepare for it and I also highly recommend the PEI Fibre Festival..its so much fun.
Oh, Tracie - I'm glad you got the Point Prim sock yarn. I have purchased that from Fleece and Harmony and it's glorious. They have lovely yarns and I like the fact that their in-house yarn is from local sheep. I've also purchased their blankets: luxury!!
Hi girls! Your cruise sounds amazing! My sister and I are cruising in 2 weeks: New York up to Canada and back. Not officially a knitting cruise but we will turn it into one!! First stop Newport RI - our favorite place❤️ Sister memories are the best. Thanks for sharing yours❣️
Tracey, take the green tomatoes and make some Fried green tomatoes!!! Also, take the smaller green tomatoes and pickle them just like you do with your cucumbers. Also pickle relish sour and sweet. Not hard at all. Hope to hear back from you guys, but I will not hold my breath on it as you are busy. Ask anyone about fried green tomatoes. Oh my goodness talking about delicious a d pair it up with the movie if you never heard of this summer dish. Make the effort to come visit ?Maryland. We have a wonderful yarn shop in Frederick Maryland you'd enjoy. You also could stay with me. Ms jo
Love watching you girls I hope you do another cruise next year just like that to participate, I am a beginner year into it and I’m having fun. I’m just slow.
A great recap of your voyage. I’m a former east coaster, having lived in Pictou County (not too far from Ewe Knits), Halifax and Sydney, you mentioned the Halifax explosion near a yarn shop you went to. A couple of good fiction books based on that are Barometer Rising by Hugh MacLennan, awesome book, and a recent one When The World Fell Silent by Donna Jones Alford
Awww I’m going to be in Fredrick Maryland 2weeks after you guys. Soooo excited to go to magpie yarn store and then do a yarn crawl back to Arlington Va. and of course hitting up Fibre Space one day. Going to do my American thanksgiving early with my godmother. I hate traveling during thanksgiving weekend ugh it’s nuts 😊😊😊.
Sounds like a wonderful trip. The East Coast is my favourite i visit often because my daughter married a young man who is a professor at St FX in Antigonish! Halifax is one of my favourite places to visit! I agree you need to spend more time there. And PEI don’t even get me started. I’ve been to Fleece and Harmony. Did you go to Anne of Green Gables? Tell Jeff there is a golf course so it’s a win win! Did you have lobster? If you need a road buddy let me know I love the east coast. I’ve driven out five times from Calgary to visit my daughter.
Great travel/yarnalogue! Loved hearing all about it all!! Did you have a chance to see the Fleece and Harmony blanket in progress? I'm so happy for all of you for having such a wonderful cruise. ❤
Hello from Edinburgh/Scotland. Just wanted to thank you for an absolute hoot. Yer bonkers the pair o ye, in the best way possible. Re-purposed “humane roadkill” fir balls… Aye… :-D x
My US kid goes to UBC and they are out of their minds that Chipotle opened on campus 🎉. It was literally an April Fools meme for years so nobody believed it at first 😂😂.
Hi from Philadelphia,PA. I love how you shared the details from your trip! I’d love to know if the crochet pattern for that shawl you showed before has Released from the tease debut in your other podcast. I’d love that pattern. Thank you for being you ❤
Hello from boston area. Did you know that Halifax NS donates the giant Christmas tree to Boston every year? They do this because Boston was there to assist with that great fire. Its a big deal here yearly.
Star Athena does such an amazing job, any chance you could do a split screen interview with her so we can learn a bit about her? Thank-you Star Athena for all you do!!
“ As long as the Yankees don’t win “.. my sentiments exactly! Canada’s team - the Toronto Blue Jays didn’t have a great year either - but I’m a loyal fan and can’t wait for spring training - 2025!
I'm glad you enjoyed Quebec City! About the cheese curds... I'm intrigued. Here in the province of Quebec, cheese curds are basically everywhere. Must I understand that the rest of Canada doesn't have them?
You’re coming to Vancouver island? Do you need recommendations? IF you’re taking the ferry to Port Angeles WA…(from Victoria) I can pick you up and show you some great spots! Hurricane ridge or lake crescent lodge to name a few.
This fall TV season is disappointing for us. There are only about 4 shows that we want to watch this year. So we’re just rewatching old shows we’ve seen before.
I know! We’re very bummed too. It was late in the day and we ran out of energy after a busy week… and headed back to our hotel room to rest. We’d love to come back. 😀
Hello from PEI, I’m the designer of the Christmas Memories ornament, thank you so much for your kind words, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do 🥰
