I hate the ending because you make it look so tasty and I don't get to eat it lol I plan to make this your way, with taro. It looks so perfect and delicious!
+PatoniSinsi You will like it. The lady who sell these at Angel Cruz Park told me, people like it better with taro. I got the idea from her, but she didn't tell me what ingredients she putted in her batter. :)
+Leakhena Ouk Thank you. My friend bought it for me from one of the Asian Market in Long Beach, Ca. I believe some Asian Markets carry them. We ran out here so my friends got some for me when she visited.
:'3 ur like my cooking idol, I'm Khmer but my mom doesnt cook a variety of Khmer food so I don't get to learn much. When I grow up I want my kids to try Khmer food though, so Im definitely gonna look back on these vids when I'm older
Traditionally it's always been fried, I've thought about baking it too just to see how they turn out. If I do bake I might need to use baking powder so the flour can rise.
Cooking with Elissa Thank you very much Elissa . Let me know when you try it, and beside it what kind of wok I see you used in other recipe ( banh xeo) and where do you buy it. Thank you
Hi Elissa, can u show us how to make this cake am not sure what it is call in Cambodian but it's make out rice flour, tapioca starch and pandan leaves. I think the cake was half cook in pot and when the flour mixture got thick then remove it and steam it until cook. It's serve with sugar syrup and coconut milk and some sesame seeds.
