This is true, but I think that the lack of dating prospects is especially a problem for young people living in Atlanta. I’m not sure why it is, but there’s a pervasive culture of sexual immorality that completely undermines the concept of dating and the rules associated with it. People there are really promiscuous and superficial. I moved to Atlanta when I was 18 and moved back home at 22 to attend college. While dating in Atlanta was fun, none of the relationships lasted because there was so much emphasis on sex that even fostering a friendship w/ benefits couldn’t guarantee me exclusivity, because after that was over my partner was on to the next. My closest friend’s experienced and continue to experience similar outcomes. That sh*t is cool when you’re young, but as you get older you long to settle down but can’t find anyone because everyone is on the hunt for more sex. That heavily influenced my decision not to move back after I finished college because thriving in a city is only one thing when finding love is equally important to the individual. I get where Reginae is coming from because I spent a little time in LA once and I had a better experience after discovering that the dating cards were not stacked against me!
