"Navajo Prelude No. 3" (arranged for #carillon )
Happy Indigenous Peoples Day! Originally written for piano, this arrangement for carillon was commissioned (and performed) by Tiffany Ng, as part of her efforts to help diversify public soundscapes.
The carillon can be heard up to a mile away, and this is one way indigenous music can reclaim spaces where they were historically excluded.
This prelude is based on a traditional Navajo Girl's Dance Song my grandfather Keith Chee sings.
