We have seen a steady deterioration of some aspects of the war, since General Oleksandr Syrskyi took over command of Ukraine's armed forces on 8 February 2024. This once again forces a reiteration of the warnning that General Syrskyi might be compromised by the Russians in specific covert ways that we know that the Russian FSB is fully capable of effecting. With or, more probably, without General Syrskyi's fully cognizant awareness of that type of compromise. If the situation on the battlefield were proceeding more successfully than it has, and than it did in the past, we would have that concern eliminated by the evident progress, but that is definitely not the case. In fact the opposite is evident. Fewer successes and more failures are evident. The situation is becoming critical and it might be best to remove General Syrskyi and to replace him with someone as to whom there is more certainty in regards to their effectiveness at this very crucial phase of the conflict.
