    I've hiked, biked and skied at Hilton Falls many, many times over the years! It's one of my favorite places to go as there are so many side trails to explore.

    I guess that's filmed with your GoPro Hero 8 Black. So smooth. I guess no gimbal required with that camera? Thinking to get that camera, kind of making my gimbal obsolete I guess...

    • @DiscoveryHiking
      @DiscoveryHiking  4 роки тому +1

      Yes gimbals are great but the GoPro was probably the best investment I’ve made for recording my videos. The combination of quality, durability and smoothness makes it a perfect option.
      Thanks so much for all the kind compliments, really appreciate them!

    Wonderful video, I was thinking of this place just today when something reminded me of it. I’ve only been here once around the early 2010s and went snowshoeing along the trail, and it was so awesome seeing how the waterfalls looked when they were completely frozen.
    Question. In the washrooms along the trail, did they by any chance install toilets in those now? Because the time I was there, it was just these deep circular holes like this -> 🕳 which you do all your bathrooming into with nothing to sit on while doing it. Are they still like that?

    hey man thanks for doing this stuff, helps me out being from Aurora. its my first time hiking waterfalls this season and i hear near the end of the summer is when a lot of the them dry up. have you experienced this?

    • @DiscoveryHiking
      @DiscoveryHiking  4 роки тому +2

      No problem, I’m really glad it helps. It’s true that they dry up from the summer. From my experience the best time to see the most water is early spring/summer after heavy rainfalls. Some waterfalls are flowing pretty strong all year round though like this one, even more beautiful in the winter when it’s half frozen

      For your first time I’d say Hilton falls. The route is much easier to follow

    Which is better Halton falls conservation area or rattlesnake point conservation area?

    • @DiscoveryHiking
      @DiscoveryHiking  2 роки тому

      Halton is better if you want to see waterfalls, rattlesnake is a longer and more interesting hike though

    I have disabled parents but I wanted to take them there. how long of a walk is it from the parking lot to the falls? is it safe? Also, are a lot of dogs?

    • @DiscoveryHiking
      @DiscoveryHiking  4 роки тому

      Hey sorry for the late reply, only seeing this now. The full trail is about 7kms. If you take the path backwards like in the video it will give u the easiest route. There were only a handful of dogs and usually on leash
