Huge improvement in looks from the old model, especially with the more defined rear bumper. Think I would actually prefer this over the standard Golf.

This is my best experience ever
We have just purchased a Polo SE 1.0 TSI White Silver. We originally were going to choose the Energetic Orange but we thought it was ‘embarrassing’ for my brother. During the test drive, the car handled well. As we do long journeys in our current Polo (Carmen Red), the middle seat was the main concern for me. So I tried the middle - spacious and comfortable! Me and my mum think it has been the best car we have ever purchased. I mean, phone mirroring and more stylish interior. Come on, Polo’s aren’t as bad as you think.
They need to start adding a camera in the car as a standard equipment

I own Volkswagen polo TDI comfortline, I purchased the car on 25-04-2014 from showroom (Maa Sheetla Autowheel pvt. Ltd. Moradabad) and it run only 101369 kms.
My 4 year old car with 101369 KM should not have died without warning, I don't care what you did, however, maintenance was done at proper intervals, and dealer verified that oil was present.
I was driving towards Moradabad (UP) few days back, my car stopped suddenly, I stopped the car and wait for 10 minutes, again I started the car but it did not start.
I took the car to Volkswagen authorized service center atWolgswagen Moradabad, they had no clue what has happened they kept on saying that they are checking, after two days they are saying head is broken and pistons are damaged due to overheating.
They were clueless and opened my car parts completely, and charged me heavily for just inspecting.
Now my question is how come this has happened without any warning light. This is a premium hatchback and I expect it to have this basic feature of overheating warning which is present in cars worth half of polo’s price.
It’s surprising that a moder engine can self destruct with ZERO warning, I bought this car because of the (German) engine only.

Peter Romsom unfortunately it's true. May not be so refined and polished, and obviously not as powerful, but the new polo is just too expensive for "polo". Few young people would want to pay that much for a highline, and the trendline has nothing special, it's incredibly austere and bland. Rather save a little more and get the Golf 1.4 tsi comfortline dsg, it's the sweetspot.

Nice review as always, but I don't see any sense in buying this. Either I want some cheap small car, like from any asian brand, to treat it like a wheelbarrow, or I spend some more money to get something prestigious like from Mercedes. This is just a overpriced plastic box.
