    Sing about me, I’m dying of thirst is a two part song and you guys only listened to the first part “sing about me” the first verse is in perspective of his homies brother. The second verse is in perspective of keisha’s sister (“Keisha’s song” section80) the third verse is kendricks response to the other messages. Then the second half of the song which y’all didn’t listen to is a lot more personal for Kendrick and it’s talkin about his escape out of Compton.
    You guys have to listen to the album to understand the context of the entire song.
    Anyways great reaction keep it up💯 I would recommend reacting to the album. Trust it’ll be worth it
    The whole good kid M.A.A.D city is a whole movie it’s a crazy album

      Yes even Eminem said it’s like the album of the decade and how much he loves how the whole album and story ties together so well. He paid his respect to Kendrick. Why Kendrick is my favorite. He’s too good.

    First verse: Kendrick's friend's perspective. Kendrick is the one holding his friends brother when he died (happened irl). He talks about his appreciation of Kendrick and his own predicaments, being too deep in gang violence, longing for the innocence of his childhood, and hoping to find an outlet like Kendrick did in his music.
    Second verse: Keisha's sister's perspective. Her anger with Kendrick for exposing Keisha's troubles, while she's on the same path as her. She keeps making up excuses to her behavior and actions, and lashing out at Kendrick for not being able to understand her situation. Her voice fades away, insinuating that she's a lost cause for Kendrick. He can not reach her anymore because she's too deep in all this mess and will probably meet the same faith as Keisha.
    Last verse: Kendrick's perspective on his friend and Keisha's sister. Kendrick is also describing his need to tell their stories in order to make a change. Kendrick's ambition is rooted in his constant obsession with death and the legacy he will leave behind. Will he just be another mainstream artist making club songs, or will he tell these stories and be a voice for those who are suffering. Ultimately, he is pleading his case of worthiness for others to sing about him when he is gone, just like he is singing about his friend and Keisha's sister.

      *her fading out is her slowly dying because she never got checked out for STD so I’m assuming she caught AIDS and slowly died from not knowing....just always was my take on it. Idk

    You guys should react to kendricks verse on the “TDE BET Cypher”. After he dropped control drake was in his feelings because of how he name dropped him and they kept the beef going subliminally ever since. Kendrick addresses him in this cypher.

    1st Verse:Kendricks Homie Brother Perspective. 2nd Verse: Keshia Sister Perspective. 3rd Verse: Kendrick Perspective and he sings about them to bring change but he cant understand why they dont want there stories to be told.

    Please React to "Duckworth" by Kendrick Lamar Duckworth. It's another true story on Kendrick Lamar's Lable Owner Anthony "Top Dawg" Tifith (Owner of TDE- Top Dawg Entertainment) and his father "Duckworth/ducky", where Top Dawg nearly killed Kendrick Lamar's father back in the day. It's by far the Best and most interesting song on thee album "DAMN".

    You should react to The Recipe by Kendrick Lamar Featuring Dr Dre off the Good Kid Maad City album. I fw Kendrick heavy and that’s a nice one off of the same album as Sing About me.

    Yo- coming from a Kendrick fanboy, LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE ALBUM. Seriously youre missing so much incredible depth because you dont have context. Im not going to explain it, because the impact when you full experience is incredible. Just listen to the full album at once. Do it. Please.

  • @RollTide1995
    @RollTide1995 4 роки тому +1

    The song isn’t about him getting out of the ghetto or the good. The first two verses are from the perspective of the brother of one his friends that was murdered(verse 1), and the perspective the sister of Keisha, from Keisha’s song(verse 2. The third verse is from Kendrick’s perspective. You guys definitely should’ve listened to at least Keisha’s song before this one. Sing about me isn’t really a song that upcoming Kendrick listeners should go to first.
