Why does all reviews, here and elsewhere, trying to abuse the Robot Vacuum with big pieces of rubbish. And trying to throw obstacles in it's path? I have one and had been very reliable for the last 3 years. I turn it on every other day; and it's main job for me is to clean up the small dust and fallen hairs. I also ensure that the floor is kept clear of any objects like phone chargers, clothes and plastic bags. Works wonder.

1) No it will not change the power automatically from hard floor to carpet. What i do is to run this on strong setting by default. 2) Mapping is done only once. You can, in the app mark zones and the the robot will clean only the zoned areas. Let's say you want the kitchen to be cleaned after dinner, you can then mark the kitchen as a zoned area in the app and ask the robot to clean it at a specific time.
Actually the best budget robot vacuum + mop is the Xiaomi Mop Pro with model number STYJ02YM. It has some features that make it a better choice, specially the Y mopping pattern and it doesn't bump into furniture as hard.

That's weird! Have you updated the firmware? If it doesn't help then reset the robot and start again. Once it builds the map it follows the same map over and over unless it discovers an entirely new area.
@@varunnahar it has the last firmware.. yesterday while the robot was cleaning, the charging dock disappeared from the map and appear way outside of the map impossible to be located by the robot... I think it's time to reset it

You cannot command the robot to go to, let's say "Clean the Kitchen" What you can do is mark a zoned area on the map and direct the robot to go there and clean. It works perfectly.

Probably two different accounts will be needed, and I don't know what will happen if you have one room/floor currently mapped on the device and you move it to another one and switch the app instance. Will need to try that. Also, I have no idea if there's one unique machine ID that Xiaomi may be veryfing each time the device is being used to ensure it's not being used by two different accounts at once...

You need to download Mi Home app and i can confirm it's available in India as well. The pairing is automatic. You just need to follow the in-app instructions.

Yes, on the app you can mark a zoned area and the robot will go there and clean the designated area. There is no way to mark the zones as living room or kitchen. But by way of zoned cleaning you can clean a specific area of your house.
@@liorarubinstein2013 from the app itself, just select the zoned area and hit clean. The robot will move to that area, clean the area and once it is done will charge itself to the dock.

Yes you should, Mop p is equipped with LIDAR which is way better than the camera which is on top of the robot which i reviewed. I use this robot everyday and i absolutely love it. Mopping is also a great feature! Go for it

Not really, once the battery is full you turn the charging doc off. Do not keep it on all the times as it will have adverse effect on the battery of the host.
It will map the whole house and then you can direct the robot to clean a particular area by marking a zone on the app. You cannot create sections on the app as of now.

When creating a smart map the first two times it creates a very accurate map then the other 3 times it removes walls and merge zones... Why?

Nope, both function will work together. You can set areas where you want to mop or just vacuum.

It is based on SLAM model so it will bump. It doesn't have a LIDAR on top. But its quite normal, mine bumps quite a lot as well.

What do you think about the Mi Robot Vaccum Mop P. They've aggressively marketed the mopping feature with that one. It has a separate mopping+sweeping 2-in-1 tank. It's available for pre-order @INR20k. Should I go for it?
Yes you should, Mop p is equipped with LIDAR which is way better than the camera which is on top of the robot which i reviewed. I use this robot everyday and i absolutely love it. Mopping is also a great feature! Go for it

Not really, once the battery is full you turn the charging doc off. Do not keep it on all the times as it will have adverse effect on the battery of the host.

It will map the whole house and then you can direct the robot to clean a particular area by marking a zone on the app.
You cannot create sections on the app as of now.
