i have always though aphelios is complicated but after watching a tutorial for him i knew he is even more complicated that i thought.

after you play many games and finally understand how the weapons interact with each other and how to rotate them, you deduce the optimal order of weapons. It took me 73 games and 12 demotions, but still worth.
yea, like I came here knowing the order, but tbh, Rekkles just explained why this order is good.

for those struggling, just go into practice tool and focus on just doing the cycle
you dont really need to remember the color, rather I like his comment about getting rid of the old one.
Get rid of the old one until you get to red white.
Then look into the combos of each hand. Example is blue aoe into purple root.

I am aphelios otp and best advice i can give which u didnt, on early phase of the game, u can win some bad matchups just by doing 4xQ combo, by just starting a fight on low ammo, and just straight on spaming the shit out of it, its realy a lot and many ppl dont see how much dmg that can put on, with proper kitting u can actually get around the gun swapping, for example if u do aa insta q on infernum u dont lose any time for swapping sinc eu dont have an aa ready anyways, and your skill allready does that, and also remember to allways do the aa and thhen insta q, infernum , severm it does fcking a lot, on objectives in late game scenarios, cresscenum + calibrum, green + white, before that even happens, just put your turret in a bush that u know gonna be part of a fight, or not even in a bush, doseant amtter, turret wont activate until someones gets in that fcking range, it cant get killed down until someones steps on it, allways smth, and sometimes with caliburm it can kill someone, trust me xD
In hard meele scenarios, crescendum is best one u can have not bcs of fast dmg, just bcs of the turets that helps a lot, if more mages, calibrum shouldnt be used at all.
If u need to face on vayne, just go infernum and crescenum u need it, u can actually fight her if u kite in bushes properly.
I think he left out the second rotation, when you waste severum first. Primarly you waste it to get acces to calibrum/ infernum combo, later. Which outputs the highest dmg out of all combos (I mean instant dps, ofc chakrams with calibrum/ severum can deal a lot more dmg, but in terms of instant dmg this combo is the highest dmg output). And You cant always run PtA, or Fleet, or LT or Conq, its matchup depended. Personally my fav is fleet and conq. But if I can get better value from other rune I will 100%, come out of my comfort zone, and use it. Rekkles pretty much, showed the easiest rotation to play with, but there is a lot more that goes into aphe.
@@HealerRodo I run pta since its a realy good rune for early, later i would say conq or lethal is still better but, aphelios doseant have bad early game, he can do a lot with pta, severum with calibrum, u can q severum for 3 procks, back off for save zone, and just easily proc aa with calibrum q and aa afterwards, does a lot and can easily win some matchups just by the sake of having pta.

I bet designers didn't think of how players would use this kit, in some way it's cool that Devs throw stuff at the community and we figure out optimal way to use it but then damn... How is anyone below masters supposed to understand how to play this champion to its full potential.
Well that means that there's a champ for everyone. Some like it easy, some like it difficult
I think Devs weren't aware players would manipulate something like weapon order, unintentionally gave this champ super high skill ceiling

Cool Guide, but i think whats missing are the common triple weapon combos, for example red q into green mark into purple root into green q, or blue white into red white
well, these combo don't exist in his weapon order except for the first rotation if i'm not mistaken. The only triple combo he mentionned is the red white into green white for objectives

@@emila_jones8949 use red q while it's low on ammo. red q will apply the green sniper mark. after red is empty purple is next in order. you can then click on the mark to shoot the enemy and apply your purple gun's root

Thanks to this guide i disenchanted every aphelios shard and i will send a ticket to Riot to remove him from my store, greatly appreciated Reckless.
Finally a pro player who researched this. I get so mad seeing pros with severum-gravitum or crescendum-gravitum, and this is not that hard to memorize after you play some games with Aphelios.
Actually some pro players prefer severum gravitum into certain team comps for kiting, since pro play is much better at targeting the adc. You're right tho credcendum gravitum is kinda useless in most scenarios.
I know that certain pros developed a secondary rotation that includes green-blue and red-purple for this reason.

@@drmy123 not true. DL explained that he wants to get rid of white asap sometimes because it was the least useful in specific scenarios. That makes red-white worse too. White isn't the end-all gun and red-purple can be better under certain circumstances
@@douwemusic yeah even in solo queue I love the outplay potential white gives you but if the enemy has any knowledge of what the champ does it can become underwhelming real fast
@@drmy123 Ye, totally. Pro players are so bad when it comes to complicated champions, its definitely not that they might prefer different order, or that its not always possible for them to stick to their order, especially during the extensive team fights. They just simply suck at it.
Come on bro, this is don't measure all pros by the NA's team standards.

I have been maining aphe for months but this helps me so much because i always felt awkward midgame when bad fights break out.

@@bitsy_0523 If you're playing league in general, the amount of memory required is about in line with what you'll need to be doing in the first place. In your standard league match you remember maybe dozens of little interactions (What counters what, what beats what). Aphelios is just making the conscious decision to think about those little things before the fight starts.

People panick too much over all this, all you need to know is that you empty severum (red) then the oldest guns in your kit until red appears which you empty and that’s about it.

So finish Red first, then do things in order, and only finish White after the second Red. Then try to keep that order the rest of the game.
Aphelios seems super hard to lean but at the same time rewarding. I think ill take my time to lean him to add him to my roaster of champion (with ezreal and jhin)

white1 green2 purple 3 blue4 red5, always use the samll weapon, but when red5 and white1 come together, use red5. You will get 12345

That's not the point dumb, it's about manipulating gun order to get the optimal one
For me Aphelios was hard pretty much first 5 games but before i started playing him i knew from pros that severum chakram is what you want most of the times into usual comps but theres no use of it against hard poke team comps so you wanna play around calibrum - flamethrower or calibrum gravitum for maybe having a setup to kill one of them Aphelios onetricks are usually thinkers like what do i want next fight what should i keep and how much impact will my guns have in a teamfight and he has bad winrate because of it since in soloq there is pretty much fist fighting every 30-60 seconds so sometimes you wont get what will be decent / really good for the next fight.

I feel like this is good for showing that aphelios isn't that complicated. You should watch a guide on a champ before you play them in ranked and if you do that on aphelios it's quite manageable. He still needs mechanics obviously, all adcs do, but his kit isn't that hard
people complain that aphelios is too hard, but then watch 100 hours of tutorials worth for just yasuo, riven, irelia, yone, and even fucking garen for some reason.

late reply but if you havent figured it out,
If you have red white and get rid of white by accident, keep your off hand (white) and cycle until you get red white again.
The end cycle is Green White, if you get rid of Green instead of white, cycle thru Purple, Blue, Red again. You'll have Green White.

Are people really overwhelmed by this champ? It took me like 10-15 games or so to play him optimally(though i still appreciate the guide it's more towards people commenting)
