Upon the first few listens of this tune, i was brought to tears. It hit me like a ton of bricks. Excellent song writing.

Throughout the band never misses from what I’ve seen with their songwriting. Doing the good work!

“All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.”

If you haven’t listened to Euclid yet, please, please, please listen to the Sundowning album first. It makes it SO much better. There are a few reactions out there where big bearded metalheads are reduced to tears because of it. I promise it’s worth it. That whole album is amazing anyway, but it makes that last song hit so much harder.

I’ve listened to it - but only once! I’d be down to listening to Sundowning and then going back to do a reaction on it with new information :) I’ve listened to TPWBYT on repeat but never touched Sundowning 🖤 appreciate the recommendation!

While I can certainly understand someone not finding songs like Are You Really Okay? and DTWTYLM less entertaining than some of their other songs, I personally find them fascinating. They are so deep lyrically, that you kind of need the space in the music to allow proper focus and absorb the meaning. I find myself liking those two in particular more and more with each listen, and finding new facets to the lyrics all the time, while songs like Vore and The Summoning have fallen off a bit for me personally. I still listen to the whole album though, and I highly recommend listening to the whole album yourself once you are done with your reactions. It just hits differently when taken in as a whole, as a lot of the lyrics are references to other songs, even from different albums. There are even references to who the lead singer actually is in the lyrics, split into two different songs, and paired with words that taken together are a synonym for Eden.

Hey! I’ve listened to the new album in abundance now - I guess I feel the same way about AYRO & DYWTYLM 😂 but - I really love Rain, Euclid & Ascensionism. TMBTE & The Summoning are still hard hitters for me but still take a back seat for me for the other tracks. Thanks for sharing your perspective ! Love those deep lyrics from all the tracks regardless !

I strongly recommend a song called SUGAR of their first album.

Rain is underrated as far as I am concerned. I get that Ascenionism and Take Me Back To Eden are masterpieces but Rain is a go to song while I'm driving. It has a more optimistic feel. I want to put headphones on you so you can hear every little ambient noise in these songs. I agree with you, Are You Really Ok doesn't really doing it for me either. I feel like everyone else loves it but it is kind of a pass for me. The ending is ok but it doesn't really save the rest of the song. Great reaction.

TMBTE & Rain are officially my favorites!

The AYRO song is about suicide.

@@damientolley2440 ah, the shortened version of the name - right! I didn’t see it as a song about suicide but about someone who had the potential to commit suicide. I’ll give it another listen. Honestly it was a bit slower paced then I prefer so I gave it the single listen, I have been rotating other tracks from the album. Thanks for watching! 👍🏾

It's about self-harm, which is a parasuicidal behaviour, and often times indicative of someone who doesn't want to end their life, but just numb their pain.

It’s definitely about self harm, but I can see how it would hit for suicide attempts. It hits hard and hurts either way if you’ve experienced either.
